Value For Money :
Excellent
I have a pair of Tannoy NFM 8 II a few months.
I chose these speakers for home hi fi but muscular, due to their good power handling (200 w) and yield very correct (93 db) ...
I have associated with an arpeggio Audiomatique 2 x 30 watt lamps Svetlana EL 34 ... we can push the amp to latch no problem!
advice: cable separately medium and severe acute (two terminals)
SOUNDS
Qualities: modern, dynamic, very accurate (coax), good stereo image and very correct bandwidth
their faults: the fever can sometimes seem hard (compression 1 inch), they must involve an amp rather soft and fairly neutral source ... they do not forgive much ill recordings ... the medium is less subtle than what can be achieved with a paper cone ... they are therefore better suited to rock and techno to chamber music (though s' honorable draw)
OVERALL OPINION
I am overall very pleased. Excellent value for money (they seem indestructible). Much better than most hi-fi speakers that distort very quickly when you go up the sound. I'm not ready to sell them ...
