It's simple, it can cut through the effect or the effect that is plugged in between send and return. The 1-switch "ENGAGE" Depending on whether the switch "ENGAGE" is "FX" or "THROUGH" is cut or move under the loop. FX: items support the effect when the footswitch is pressed. THROUGH: Turns the effect back on when one presses on the footswitch.

The 2-switch "SEND": The switch "SEND" is a send effect in constant loop so that the effect works instantly when the switch is engaged, for example: If you have connected a delay in the loop, with the switch to "ON" signal it is sent into the delay times, the delay works, so even if you do not hear it, thereby engaged when they switch immediately to hear the sound with delay, no need to wait until the first rehearsal. The footswitch works great, even in short bursts, it's clean and the cut is clean. If you do not branch in the loop, the pedal acts as a Killswitch, cut the sound when the footswitch is engaged. This pedal has nothing to do with an LS-2, since it does not allow mixing dry / wet, it passes through the pedal plugged into the loop as if it was connected in series, not parallel as possible.

SOUND QUALITY

I felt no change with the sound, the pedal is transparent. I use it as a Killswitch end of the chain at the foot of my keyboard, AC avoids me having to turn down the sound of the guitar, leaving both of my hands free when I attack the guitar.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3 weeks already and it works very well. At 38 bucks on the net, a very good quality / price ratio.

UTILIZATION

Usage is very simple, just press the footswitch to cut and pass the signal when nothing is connected to the inputs and return or send to send the signal in the loop (SEND / RETURN)

The button "ENGAGE" allows you to select the operation of the pedal:
THROUGH: the signal is continuous and is interrupted when the footswitch is pressed
FX: the signal passes only when the footswitch is pressed if it is cut

The button "SEND" allows you to choose how the input signal is processed by the pedal
FSW: The input signal is sent directly into the loop
ON: The input signal is sent through the loop and the output (AMP)

2 operating modes:

KILLSWITCH: the pedal is used to cut and pass the signal
For this mode, nothing must be logged in entries SEND and RETURN
Only the button "ENGAGE" is taken into account

LINE SELECTOR: the pedal sends the signal directly to the output (AMP) in the loop (SEND)
The 2 buttons ("CALLS" and "SEND") are active

Concerning the use in itself, you can use it either at the beginning of string (KILLSWITCH mode) for example by switching guitars, mute between 2 pieces, etc. ... to enable / disable an effect on a temporary (user LINE SELECTOR) as an overdrive to boost your solo time, phaser, etc. ...
KILLSWITCH function may also allow you to create a very nice tremolo effect

SOUND QUALITY

The pedal does not color the sound, it is not true bypass but buffured bypass so no alteration of the sound but it must be fed so that the signal passes

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a week, I bought it without any real reason to start and in the end it easily found its place and function on my pedalboard.
Finally a pedal that does exactly what is asked and what is expected of her (and even more) with quality EHX bonus!
