Published on 04/09/11 at 00:23Previously I had a pedalboard, 5 pedals and ToneLab SE, on 2 different channels through a Boss LS2. The problem if we move from a repeating his two pedals sound that incorporates two others, one must press 4 switches ... being better than tap on guitar, I bought the SAG-3, my problems are solved and I even solutions which I was not expecting.
Ability to connect 6 loops effects, + 3 MIDI effects and tuner. 4 output switch used to control the channels of the amp.
We can make combinations of effects as desired, and save each preset on one of the 100 available programs.
On each preset, in + to decide what effect you use, you can also choose which channels you want to use the amp (depending on the amp: clean, crunch, OD / DS and / or reverb).
MIDI is very convenient. For example, I plugged my Whammy loop and noon. Thanks to that I can choose a preset for example where I use a distortion and whammy in fontion a third pitch, and another preset where I choose a clean sound and based Detune Whammy. And I change with a click instead of having to bend and twist a knob.
I have not tried the MIDI Vox Tonelab SE with but I'll add a comment on that or send me a PM for more info
Integrated power supply for 6 pedals in DC 9V. Practice, bye bye my Fuel Tank. + Output to usb computer connections, interesting to put the software update, edit midi sound on the computer, etc. but not tested.
There are also some opportunities to add an expansion module loops effects, whammy or wah-pad-pad ... really excellent.
2 negative points!
- I have a disto Blackstar HT Dual with SAG-3 I can choose whether to activate the loop, but not choose the disto disto 1 or 2 ... or so I have not found it yet.
- 10 banks of 10 programs, it seems a lot but it goes very quickly.
Excellent product, inexpensive (442 € new at MusicStore) but personally I solved that many worries. For the more attentive to their portfolio, the SAG-2 costs 70 € and is less precisely the same at 100%! Only the switches are plastic, I thought it was less class and less reliable.
