This A / B box is no exception to the rule. Discreet in color, sober at the location of the switches, the M196 is the classic. No doubt the brand wants it and make a difference with the range of effects pedals-the most often original and colorful-and its new range of solutions for routing it comes to market.
Here is an A / B box or rather a A / B / Y box as it allows three combinations: a tool to output A, B or to an output to two outputs simultaneously. We can also use the "Thru" plug to connect a tuner out of the signal path. It will be understood that this routing switch is intended primarily for guitarists wanting to play on two amps, or separately from one to the other, or simultaneously on both.
First point, and this is essential: an absolute silent operation and a total absence of noise on activation of switches. This last point seems obvious, but from experience I can say that both brands offer A / B box that produce a beautiful "pop" when switching, making them just useless ...
Note (which is not the case of Leadfoot or other models) that both channels are really separated and we absolutely do not hear the sound to the amp that is not switched and regardless of the number of pedals connected behind each output effects A and B. In summary: total transparency, making extraordinary, perfect operation.
In my opinion, it is the A / B box and perfect icing on the cake, the price is very soft.
