    SOUND QUALITY

In dpart, I had the giga version (blah), then I bought the version kontakt (better, but even when bof). In fact, there were some samples with the rest inhomognes, and programming of the patch silent a little blah. But apart from that, other samples are good.

edit: the older SD Grandioso forcment ... with these four layers, it's been a bit limited now. But there are other more Steinway D currently available as the Black Grand Sampletekk of the Old Lady of Post Musical Instruments, and that of Akoustik Piano Native Instruments

    OVERALL OPINION

I started making my patch for version 1.5.2 kontakt by bringing several notable amliorations, one that I called the real string Behavior. When you play a key on a piano, it does not play a note (that is empty!). If we play the notes now PDAL sustain drives and we replay that note, should Previous s'arrter rsons to let the news. Out on all digital and piano samples, it is not the case. Apart from a monstrous waste of polyphony, it's actually not Gnant when the new rating is higher than the previous ones, but it is when it is lower because the expressiveness is then enough mdiocre.
So I set to work and I have developed the real string Behavior while being careful not to dteriorer the phnomne rsonance friendly (setting rsonance strings that are not playing by the one cheek), and its building (several times when playing the same note with the same touch or louder).

Another benefit of this patch is that now you will not lose any notes of your performance, even in a game rich trs (eg a low score will not be cut while the usual patch 'have long been cut because of the limited polyphony, even RULES maximum). No need to have 256 voices of polyphony to avoid such worries.

I also use it to improve the realtime sustain (sustain pedals in real time).

So for résumé, my principle for this patch is a key = a note, which I added to the phnomne rsonance friendly realtime and sustain, which has the consquence of SAVE polyphony while gaining ism.

I sent this patch Michel Post, the producer of the Steinway D. He does trs trs enthusiasm by all these optimizations and set up days in my patch on its website ( http://www.postpiano.com/support/allUpdates.php?id=11 ) .
    Rgalez you by trying it!

I'm trying to work on the same kind of optimization on the PMI Bosendorfer 290. It's also worth dtour! Michel Post is waiting impatiently dj ...
