Easy and intuitive

Works perfectly on Vista and VST FL studio. I will not venture to Live because of my limited confidence in Microsoft.

NOTICE GLOBAL

By far the best solution for the studio (March 2008 eh ...). In the emulation class is interesting and full of possibilities.

However, this software will never replace a real amp (even a stew) with a real microphone (even a stew). I do not even talk about emulating legendary amps and effects, this always makes me laugh, there really have parsley in the ears. I see similarities, but it is far from the answer of the gameplay of the original. The stamp is not all!

The sounds used to have fun or to create very professional things, but it lacks life, "drive", we battle against the spirit even more than the hardware. The saturation of "lights" is absolutely not musical and realistic, it's a shame. In short exploitable software but not do without a JCM 2000, a Twin Reverb or a Jazz Chorus.

Guitar rig competes pods but do not offer autonomy. on the other hand, for a home studio that is efficient and friendly. Price is abusive (there is a discount for those who already have a Pod), the updates to the tariff is unfair too.

- What is the configuration of your computer? (Motherboard / CPU / Ram / Disk / sound card ..)
Asus A7N8X Deluxe, AMD XP2500 +, 756Mo Ram 333Mhz cl2.0 sync, one of Tera 6DD.
sound cards: NVIDIA motherboard, M-Audio USB JamLab.
Config simple but it allows for example to produce a film or radio on external speaker and headphone play without latency.

impeccable, worthy successor to GR2.

... On an impressive software, sound clips are stunning, the dynamics is remarkable.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for about a month,
the software is excellent, even better than guitar rig 2 and easier to handle.
you can easily find one on which the jammer.
I test version dmo AmpliTube 2 and AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix are good too but trs guitar rig 3 is more complete.
I had the software for free because I was the dj 2, against I do not know or buy the three pedals as given that I had sold the rig kontrol 2

The software is very easy to take charge and works very well without pumping a lot of resources with the option HiQuality that can deactivate or reactivate the software without rebooting.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it since its release (October / November 2007) and it's really a pleasure to use.

Everything is simple to set up, the effects are of high quality and very convincing amp modeling. It is true that it does not replace an amp on stage on the sensations that we have to play with the amp that sends the studio behind Guitar rig but takes on its magnitude.

The pedal is very sturdy and very well designed with drivers that allow a relatively low latency.

You can save anywhere while having the same sound without spending hours and days to place the microphones for the sound that one seeks. Once that is set on GR3 with mics & cabinets, just load the preset and it runs. Not to mention that one can have a different set of microphones with presets ...

As for sound, overall they are really good, I'm convinced.

- The distortion is good (although none can replace my Dod Death Metal or my Marshall Bluesbreaker II) with sounds quite varied and distinctive;
- The Chorus, Delay, Flanger are up;
- The amp sounds interesting and lead me to do anything different style (I go from Death Metal to coldwave carefree).
- The equalizers are not bad but I do not use them too eventually.
- The whawha are fine, but when it is used for ten years at the sound of his foot Wha's hard to replace.
- The Whammy is powerful and allows me to give me style in C major 7 chords without touching my guitar.
- LFOs and other effects, I do not use too much yet.

It's simple, I do not spend more GR3 in my studio for my records (and even the composition) while in rehearsal or on stage I am attached to my pedals and my amps.

The only thing I regret is that NI has not developed a system to be able to add on in the future, add other materials and models into a scalable software.

Installation, configuration without problems ... I just had small problem with cubase.
I have not much looked at the manual, but it did not fail because I find it really easy to use.

My computer is really not a racing machine (which the first prize) and my sound card ultra basic. By reducing the lot size of the buffer on the sound card, I have almost no latency ... Anyway I get to play.

OVERALL OPINION

For the home studio it's great. This is the first time I try a program like this. At first I could not believe it too. But no! the sound is really excellent although it is the virtual.
Certainly not worth may not be sound with an old amp, but in any case I prefer that to a multi-purpose hardware for the clarity of the interface

Modern PC with a gigabyte of RAM, sound card presonus inspire. The performances are there, but it appears a little hungry plugin in Ableton Live. (CPU usage shoots up and qques CARC heard by now)

OVERALL OPINION

Okay so in config and use, nothing to say, this is a good product, sounds played against in, there is much to complain about ... I found qques distortion sounding realistic enough, but clear and level the crunch, can not get something suitable, it is nasal, cold, very "right", it sounds digital background ... I have since discovered Amplitube is simply the day and night ... Guitar rig does not compare.

Like virtually all software from Native, it is a treat. Installation is easy too. More with the tool "service" that Native established, it is kept informed of Upd ... etc. Let others take an example!

No bug. I use Vista 64 is what it seems the worst solution ... but also the best for performance on his PC. I use it in stand-alone or plug-in, in all cases, it runs without any problems.

User's manual? No need for it! The sound is simply incredible! I own a Joemeek twinQ and I compared both possibilities (with the Joemeek and directly into Guitar Rig 3).

Result: when the guitar is directly connected to the sound card, the sound is awesome! It really improved from Guitar Rig 2, especially the distortion sound. It's incredible! I found the sound I needed... It sounds much better than moderate hardware solutions...

My computer is a Dual Core e4400 with 3 GB RAM and Vista. The sound card is a PCI Echo Layla 3G.

Excellent performance. The software is not too resource hungry. I haven't had a single crash.

OVERALL OPINION

I've only had it for a short time but it's more than enough to realize that I can throw my Korg AX3000G into the garbage can...

The price is ok...

This software installed without any problems. I didn't have any compatiblity issues with it and my system. This software is very easy to set up and get started. The installation walks you through every step. The only thing is the kind of confusing registration process that this company has, but they have good customer service help, so it's not a big problem. The manual for this is very good, every time I had a question about the program itself I was able to find the answer there. It's written in plain english as well, so you don't need to have a PhD to understand it.

I have a Dell computer with an intel processor, 2 gigabytes of ram, and Windows. It works perfectly with my computer. I have seen this on a friends computer which is a slower computer, and it doesn't work as well. There is a lag when you try to play through it and monitor the sound live. My computer is a bit newer though, so I don't have that problem. It has crashed only a couple of times, but otherwise is stable. Since it's crashed twice though, you might not want to rely on it for any kind of a live performance.

OVERALL OPINION

I have had this for about 6 months. My favorite thing about it is the really big selection of different sounds you can get. A lot of them sound very realistic. The presets are very well made, and it's a great way to try to find a new sound if you just cycle through them until you arrive at something you like. You can choose so many different types of sounds, there is something for every kind of music and then some. While many of the amp models sound very realistic, there are also some that sound very digital and fake too. I would say that these are not too frequent though, and really all you have to do is just avoid those, there are plenty of great sounding ones. You can also add all kinds of effects to the amp you pick, so the sound options are almost endless. If you compare this price to the cost of how many amp types and effects you get, it is just ridiculous. It's a really great value especially if you are not that good at recording guitar amps. This thing will do the work for you. It's a great value, and I would get it again.
