Thread HELP NEEDED ON CUBASE VST/24

Hey, im writin my own material just now and have recently got cubase VST/24. When i record the first audio track (e.g. guitar) and have the metronome click on it seems to record th click as well, however if i do not use th click the first track records fine but when i start recordin th 2nd track it seems to mix th first track in with it, if ye know what i mean. This leads to a really annoyin delay effect, and ther4 puts the rest of th song out of time. does any1 have any suggestions? it might just be really simple but im new to cubase recordin so i don't know much bout it.
