I have not tried many models before buying it, I just dicatphone Olympus, perfect for voice but not for group use to record drums or bass, all of it saturated on. So I turned to this photo H1, to be able to record rehearsals of my band with a sound that does not saturate.
He filled that role perfectly.
* The feature I like most is the volume button "Input volume" manually adjustable, which means that we can adapt to both the volume of a guitar voice in her room than that of a live concert that pummeled. It can also leave it on automatic but the volume management will then only at your own risk (risk of sudden drops in volume).
* The feature I like least is the small speaker on the recorder, which is not powerful enough to be able to listen immediately the result of what we just recorded.
It is also not very strong, because of the plastic, do not knock it down.
The value for money (it is less than 100 euros everywhere, I've taken with its protective cover and a small tripod handy, all for 128 euros thotho) is quite correct I think, for save my group again and even do small models to spin at bars / pubs can do it!
With the experience so I would do this choice because it suits us perfectly and it has not ruined at all!
