I have been using various speakers for band and we have tried other brands and set ups including the Bose systems and what we have landed with is the QSC K10's they can handle the full spectrum of sound from bass, synth, drums, backing tracks, and Guitars and sound amazing. We use the PreSonus Studio Live 16.0.2 Mixer and we just sound great. The QSC K10's really made a huge difference in the way we sound and play. They sound clear, detailed no muddiness and the fans love the way we sound. The ease of the use is great too and can be used for a solo gig with a iPod hooked up to play backing tracks. Great speaker and for our use just the best we can play louder with out feedback and the clarity of tone is just something you have to experience to understand. The QSC K10 have been a part of my gear since August of last year and I have used them on a large number of different artist, bands, and DJ’s. I have not had a single complaint with them yet and even when I use them with my band we all love the sound we get with them. I love what they do for vocals though; they can really pump out a natural sound. This speaker does have a high pass filter which is what will be used when you have it hooked up with woofers. But when that is being used, it could take some time to get use to the sound because it will change the dynamics of your overall sound.
The speakers are pretty light, they weight about 30 pounds but they are tall so it could cause some problems with transporting it depending on what kind of car you have. It never really was an issue with us because we use a van with double back doors to take all of the gear out of.
The frequency range is 56Hz to 20 kHz and I really feel that with a subwoofer this speaker is perfect. It just takes some time to get use to the sound as a performer because it sounds completely different with a high pass on and a sub hooked in with it. The LF driver size is only 10 inches and the HF driver size is 1.75. The highs sound really good and they are clean. With vocals you will feel like you are listening to a 3000 dollar speaker! I have not heard any acoustic guitars with these yet. That is something that I am really excited about and cannot wait to test them out. There are also inputs XLR and TRS on this speaker with 2 XLR direct lines out. This 500W class D speaker has the sound that any performer needs!

How long you use it?

Looking back on again using the system but on the few services already registered, nothing to say. Last outdoor use with K 2 SUB (set to 3/4, without deep) and 4 K10 (with filter set to 0dB, his flat), bluffing! This low and medium / acute dynamic without being aggressive.
Correction settings are really minims! Fully satisfied for now with this system bought used (2 K10 in fly for € 1200) and 2 + 2 k10 KSub bought € 1200. Transport and handling appéciable in view of the weight!

Did you tried many other models before buying it?

HK Audio Elias system, 2 boxes + 4 heads. Although this system fonctione very well, having used intensemment, power and better sound. Beware, the HK system is great and is very reliable but correst QSC is a range above I think.

What is so special that you love the most, least?

Most: sound, power, weight,
the least: the potassium seem a little fragile, the power switch as well. See for servicing in the future if seinheiser really deliver! attention to the coating but with house fly and paying attention, here should be fine in time.

How would you rate the quality / price?

Bought used but very new, the price seems right and you have a system compact, powerful sound quality for less than € 4000 (2 2ksub and k10)

With experience, you do again this choice? ...

No doubt hoping it is as reliable as my old HK system, we'll see in time. We will enchainer benefits, we will then judge.

I'm absolutely blown away by the clarity and power of these speakers. Over the years, I've used a bunch of different powered speakers, and full PA's, and these are by far above and beyond everything (especially in their price range). 1,000 WATTS is no joke, and it shows the pure power of what they can do. I use this speaker with an Allen and Heath mixer, and the combination of the two can't be beat. You will not be disappointed with any of the three speakers in the K Series line up. (K8, K10, or K12).


So much so that it overpowered my tube amp, which was definitely a first. No matter how I eq'd the AD-8, the speaker delivered and it never went into clipping. Even with the volume on the speaker and my pre-amp dimed, it seemed as though the speaker never broke a sweat. At one point I was seeking more cut than my pre-amp could deliver, so I switched the K10 eq into "vocal" that was exactly what the doctor ordered.


I have had some past experience with the JBL's first gen EON and the first gen Mackie SRM450 and while those were great speakers, this just blows them away. This speaker is smaller, lighter, more powerful and better sounding; very smooth from bottom to top. And there are more ins and outs and overall control on this speaker than you could ever need. I cannot tell you how pleased I am with this purchase.

For me, it just sounds better than my studio monitors and they are better than any high end hifi gear, also for domestic use. My bose system sounds like a cheap installation in comparison with the QSC and I don’t compare about the volume, just the quality of sound and this tops most of all others on the market today. Look around online, you can find one for a great price.

Just once during the music festival (4 groups, 4 different styles (rock, funk, pop accout, frnaçaise song), from 3 to 13 musicians per group). Used outdoors with:
- 2 K10
- 2 K8
- 2 K Sub

What thing do you like most/least about it?
Minimum:
- Satellites look too easy on the feet. Attention to movement during the concert HP
- Reaches its limits when people are outside before Ammassa
Most:
- The overall quality of sound. Quality of living is quite impressive
- Helps our bodies make a mix with. All instruments are present
- Possibility of use for small outdoor scenes (300 people). If there's nobody in front of the door system to a maximum quarentaine meters (without too much loss)
- Versatile as each element is amplified

Certainly based on my budget

* I just bought this product last week and helped me back to a performance this weekend.

* Before that, we had Mackie SRM 450 (use front and / or return) and 350 V2 (back only), RCF 310A (Back) and for testing a compact Bose L1 (back only because not enough power to put in front).

* What I like most and is the main: SOUND! It's clean, pure, crystalline with much lower despite these boomer 10 "!
In addition it can enhance bass thanks to DSP (DEEP function very effectively). Good sound distribution for a minimum size and weight (less than 15 kgs). Good design: simple. Well done also to adjust the LED on the front of the enclosure: Power Off or Saturation, very handy when the enclosure is returned.

I find the sound less aggressive than the Mackie SRM 450, and low drool unless the RCF 310A. We are getting closer to his advantage the bose L1 with a narrower distribution (the Bose wins hands at this level is quite impressive), but with a power at least 2 times better and low cash . It can also connect 2 different sources directly to the speaker: a micro example and an Ipod or similar CAR: very practical, it can quickly become a forum for conference!

* What I like least: the price (still too much ). The knobs are a little cheap, hopefully they take ... The paint coating is very fragile: COVER REQUIRED! At first transport even paying attention, I made a scratch GRRRR!
Attention to the advertised power, it is a priori exaggerated :-( Indeed QSC 1000w announcement but did not specify whether it is peak, continuous real ... A priori it is closer to 600 watts (RMS continue) as of 1000. The speakers were Celestion. Everything is made in China and is guaranteed for 3 years manufacturers (6 years in the States)

* The price / quality ratio is still respected, we must recognize that the sound is good, even very good, powerful, clean, clear with a DSP for effective volume and light weight.
I do not have used that one for now in return, but saw the first impressions that will also cover (2 + 1 K K10 Sub) for the duet / trio or party that I made there 2 songs, guitar and sequences. To irrigate up to 200 guests rooms that will not pose a problem.

* If, however, I should not make the election again would be possible to take the K12, just to get a bit more bass and can happen in some cases boxes. But to use that jen did the K10 are already very good. A pleasant surprise to advise! € 762 bought in a pack with the cover in MusicStore (Germany)
