1 What's the difference between a song and a project in a DAW?
Not sure if all DAWs have things classified as songs and projects but I just bought Studio One and I don't understand the difference.

But i understand that song files are the files you record in and project files are for mastering.

In Studio One, a song is a song, and a project is for mastering multiple songs in the Project Page, which is very cool. It's one of the features I wrote about in this story: https://en.audiofanzine.com/getting-started/editorial/articles/put-your-best-feature-forward.html
