Very good product, yes, but ...

It is a question of a spring reverb latest generation rack 1 unit.
It is therefore entirely analog reverb, reverb or more precisely two combined, one short and one long.

Edition question we have three knobs on the front for each reverberation unit, a setting input, a setting of sound mixing dry / Envoy in reverb and an adjustable output level.
In addition to two buttons that allow to activate a high pass filter and phase reverse.

Level input / output: 2 inputs (reverb 1 and 2) Jack Balanced / XLR balanced
and 2 outputs on the same principle

    SOUND QUALITY

Let's talk about more interesting now ...
The sound is, in terms of quality, one of the best I have heard about this type of reverb. Y 'is not a fart breath, the springs begin to tolchoquer if they are really pushing to end, and the two settings can go a little further than other spring reverb that I have or that I have had in my possession. Note also that it handles all the sound frequencies in much the same way, which is often lacking in this type of stuff, treble disappear quite low compared to.
on the other hand in terms of pure sound, I found the sound better on my Boss RX-100, on the other hand breath much, much more, and loses a lot as soon as one starts in the treble.
So we are dealing here with a spring reverb last generation, suitable for studio pro, with a signal / noise at the top.

    OVERALL OPINION

I have one month from now. J 'uses only spring reverb in my studio (analog requires ...) and if it is not my favorite (ie the boss RX-100 mentioned above) I must admit that it is much more " upscale "and versatile.
Its main drawback that is that it does not work in stereo mode, each output has its own reverb, with the possibility of "linker" these two outputs. So we are left with the reverb on an output 1 and a mix (with a loss of 3 / 4 decibels) of both the output 2.
Me I use a Y-cable and I highlighted the reverb on a mono channel on my console, so I 've almost no loss, and I have my two good reverbs.
Now his biggest flaw: the price!
    $ 750 if I don 't abuse!
While the quality is there, no problem, that is solid, that is clean, OK.
    But to claim the $ 750 ...
I think this price is over-rated.
Me I had any occasion, and price of the occasion (half price) that is good, no worries, but the price of the new is really exaggerated.
Finally it 's just my opinion.

    Demeter RV-1Published on 10/19/10 at 16:28
The Demeter RV-1 Real Reverb is a spring reverb box that consists of two separate channels. It's a unique reverb box, as it's pretty rare that you'll find a true spring reverb (let alone two of them) within a single space, rack mountable piece of gear. The device has both 1/4" and XLR connections for each of the channels and for both input and outputs.

    UTILIZATION

Using the Demeter RV-1 isn't difficult, as for the most part it does the work for you. Each of the two channels has a very similar make up, but the first channel is for a short decay reverb, while the second channel is for longer decay. Beyond this, the channels are the same, each consisting of parameters for input …

    UTILIZATION

Using the Demeter RV-1 isn't difficult, as for the most part it does the work for you. Each of the two channels has a very similar make up, but the first channel is for a short decay reverb, while the second channel is for longer decay. Beyond this, the channels are the same, each consisting of parameters for input level, mix (essentially reverb amount), and output level. Each also has a high pass filter and a phase button. There is also a general mode section for both of the channels that allows you to use the RV-1 in stereo if needed. I haven't seen a manual for this...

    SOUND QUALITY

The sound of the Demeter RV-1 is outstanding. It's a real spring reverb, so it sounds as natural as you're going to get beyond getting a room sound. There's definitely enough to work with in terms of parameters, as you don't need much to get the full effect here. I love the sound of real spring reverb, and it's incredibly rare that you're going to find it in this compact of a space. A freelance engineer brought this into the studio that I work at and it really sounds awesome. Not quite as cool as our plate reverb, but certainly it's own sound on the same level of quality.

    OVERALL OPINION

Unless you're going to get a much bigger box than this, there aren't too many options out there for a spring reverb of this quality that I've used before. The Demeter RV-1 is the perfect addition to a home or professional studio if you're looking for some super warm and awesome sounding spring reverb. This isn't very cheap, but consider that you're getting two channels here! This is the way to go if you're in the market for a real spring reverb...
