Zildjian K Custom Ride 20"

I purchased this ride at Milano Music in Mesa Arizona for about $240. I was originally interested in a k custom dark ride, but played this one and fell in love.

I really love the tone that is produced with any stick that strikes this cymbal. It was originally meant for jazz, but you could use this cymbal for any genre of music. I play rock and it goes perfect with it. It has a killer bell that can cut through loud amps and still maintain a beautiful tone. I purchased the 20 inch because I felt that the 22 was a little too washy for me.

Nothing. I love the brilliant finish that it comes in. If it were up to me cymbals would be way cheaper. But when it comes down to it, you pay for quality.

It seems really durable. All of my cymbals are zildjian, and I am constantly pounding them and have never had one break or crack yet. Very high quality cymbals. What do you expect from the people that started it all!

Bottom line is that when you go with zildjian you can never go wrong. Trust your ears and purchase what appeals to you. I have had nothing but good things to say about this ride and company. If you want a very nice ride that has a clear ping and loud bell, then this cymbal is for you

+: Ride super controllable, brilliant sound but with a slight rattle and pretty dark in the background, ultra-precise strike at any level ping, ultra versatile!
-: Ride hard crashable saw the thickness of the beast but I do not have that personal use.

How would you rate the quality / price?
€ 380 on average it is true that it hurts the buttocks! But the investment is worth it for the undeniable qualities of this cymbal.

I have owned for fifteen years.
I just sold it because my tastes have changed and are now turning more washy cymbals, jazz.
This is a great cymbal, (unchanged even after years of play saw its thickness and texture), particularly in the sense that one must learn to master it
versatile (rock or hard saw the power of the dome even if it has a color that should perhaps not all, big-band possible, jazz rock, fusion, Latin, Afro ... on the other hand in too little training powerful and somewhat flexible) ....
and precise ping stands and stands out (like Avedis) even if not very brilliant, over very serious overtones and dark (normal is a K)
Surprising behind the drumkit, it also takes some getting used, but for the audience in live unplugged, to the sound engineer in recording or live amplified, and it is clear "Equalisation is" with the rest of the drumkit.
Those looking for a certain poetry and song with this cymbal will be hugely disappointed as it is not his goal. Dave Weckl who developed it with Zildjian wanted the surgery in the image of his game at the time.

I use it for over a year.
The ping (sound of impact) is very well Dfine trs and clear. The cymbals do not runaway, can hit like a deaf man remains controllable (which does not mean it is not expressive). In short this is not trs versatile cymbal (jazz refrain), it remains trs rock, but what a wonder! The sound is beautiful!
I tried Sabian I do not like at all and almost everything The models of custom SERIES K (dark ride, ride mdium, dry ride ...). The ride, period (glossy finish) is the one that touch me most especially for the clarity. Note that the rest of the range is quite dark in tone.
