The polyphony is 8 notes which was a real problem was the time to make a sequence that sounds, but now that we have the protools and friends there's more track record and c ' is happiness.
The converters are great I do not know what they put into it but bluffing.
It uses the same process as the general Emulator II ie the 8 bit compression in real time, giving it the unique grain.
For effects there is a chorus and stereo with lfo modulation was the philosophy of the house, the machine was primarily designed for studio equipped effect in number.
The memory is a bit limited, it is only a mega, my computer is listed in a 2000 times (it's beautiful the Advanced Technology)
For outputs there is a stereo pair and eight separate outputs, which does not blow. otherwise Midi in, out, Through and rs 422 port connected to a mac (at the time) for editing samples (I tell you no budjet of the time for this configuartion).
UTILIZATION
It is a machine very easy to use, there is even the doc screen print on the machine,
To read a disk there are 2 buttons to push (not too hard to do).
Editing is super simple you can assign full control of real-time or we want the filter on modulation ,......
The manual is poorly translated and not used to much so it is easy to use sampler.
SOUNDS
Converters make the machine it is the only happiness is round and warm.
For the filters then we talk about serious things, you know the Prophet 5? and although it is the same analog filters 24 db, so nothing to add.
OVERALL OPINION
These are the first machine with which I sampled there is already a long time and it is true that at the time it was a polyphonic can be corva level. Aujourd'huit and I rediscover this wonderful machine, which has a mixed modern studio is exeptional. It gives a real warmth and novelty in the world of our favorite synth plugins.
