The sequencer has the advantage of being intuitive, allowing a game on the fly + player ... not very kind with recording / editing real time without interrupting playback, ability to erase notes for each unit in playback mode leaving pressed a button, very interesting for the workflow!
mode 16 not 32 or 16 or 32 tr tr ... a length of 1 to 8 cycles
the disadvantage is that you can not enter notes by the sequencer tr above the semiquaver (when it is not in 16) ... unless I missed it ... they can record live that said, tapping the pads ...
to pass over the semiquaver in stepsequencer very kind must put in 32 in the general config of the pattern ... but if you do a piece ben started your piece does not look like anything ... if you put in 32-loop that runs on a cycle is super short and therefore requires you to follow the pattern must several sequences of pattern, makes you lose a lot of workflow ...
I see that most of the users are turning in 16 steps 4 or 8 cycles ... I personally like to do a cycle or two to improvise almost permanently retaining a view of the steps that are read .. may be is there a function that allows you to automatically track the life-cycle playing with editable cycle ... it would be great ... The problem with section effect is that the config of the three general effects apply to all units that pass through effects. it can quickly become chaos if one is not careful.

it says it is a pity that there is not a small equalizer for each unit somewhere .. eq effect is not worthy of the name (low / bass) and more food affects three and therefore can not be set independently. no real separate outputs (yes there are two more out but without effects or lamps) ... this is a little short of bang for serious work ...
this machine is more like a big mess in my opinion, with lots of space to leave to chance and the feeling, or it may be poum tchak prout tchak or if it was not mixed these sounds sampled upstream ...
In fact since I have that I do not use tricks to bypass pb eq and no separate outputs ... and suddenly I find myself doing something else, change pitch instead of eq, pan, cutoff, reso, etc ...
OVERALL OPINION
I have been using (in the sticky ends) 15 days.
I tried a em1 (the korg black not sure of the name) of a friend for 2 days but messing. I possessed roland mc8 8 ...
I used cubase sx bcq a bit recently and ableton fruity loops ... after having had enough of being glued to the pc and found great step sequencer fruity I bought this machine ... pc also made me discover recently the TB303 and tr ... by rebirth etc ... then I started to go to the hardware ..
advantage in relation to korg roland mc 808
esx real time without stopping playback to change the dial pattern and not direct access to functions via knob, + lamps ('trash, warm, rich in harmonics and responsive to ambient vibrations (not?) )
disadvantage ... the sequencer super limited at the retail level, arg ... no polyphony arrrrffffffggggggg
I like what I've done two or three times without warning
I find it difficult to use this machine for a clean ... but to "play" with him as an instrument in its own right and free style that looks interesting
