Best value: Excellent
- Everything has been said above by psychoslivemusic.

UTILIZATION

- The configuration of the machine is simple once we took the stuff lol
- The functions are easily accessible despite the ridiculous display.
- The printed manual is clear in French but it does not detail the functions of editing software, but we manage to get by.
- I installed a linear array of ram (256 PC133) from an old PC lying, it works nickel. Provide a 1GB CF (about 25 € to Montgallet) and you get something perfect.

SOUNDS

- Fart sounds good in any case I like it
- The effects are good but not excellent
- The pads are not velocity (which is a shame) but I use those and I was thinking of my microKONTROL pay me an MPD24 to compensate for this lack.
- The sequencer and the possibilities of automation can make good mix
- I'm still looking what I do not like it ...

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for two weeks, I had an MPC 1000 and I use Reason 3 and FL Studio 6. I find the concept of groove box with its excellent sequencer, sampler and synthesizer integrated. The sounds coming out of the animals are warm and the possibilities are endless but I understand it may not be suitable for a lot of people, find you well before taking (or not). I have never used mc909 (but I've heard a lot about) so I would not compare them. Compared to the MPC 1000, I find the most comprehensive MC808 what I'm doing even if the sequence of the first is a reference.
The price / quality ratio is good compared to what the machine offers: o)
This is my first groove box, if I were to redo this choice would be without hesitation.
