Good brightness for 150 watts
Nice-looking housing
Very good quality.
Quiet.

Weaknesses?

No shutter
Bad dimmer.
- Did you try any other models before buying it?

No, these are my first scanners.

- How would you rate its value for money?

In spite of its weak points, the SCX 500 is a good scanner for beginners.

I use it since early September 2012.

I love all these features and I have absolutely no negatives to report.

I use two T-Rex Martin are great also but the effects are totally different.

Quality / price excellent.

I remake this choice with your eyes closed!

I used to buy in very good condition (I was 4 in all), great product, I currently serve all day and well super reliable!! MARTIN LIVE, I try another brand of low cost but nothing to do with the one
what I like most the number of color and gobo wheel varied and mostly two separate this type of product, the electronic display, weight, size, axcessibilite a lamp or maintenance, for me no less (apart from not having to buy more soon!)
the great value for money (I have them buy secondhand!) so I remake this choice of remaining within pledge of quality martin

- With the exprience, you do again this choice? ...

If I had me some time in rinvestir in one or more moving lights (if it comes to scanner) certainly I would do the same maybe even buy the j'achterais MODEL above SCX700 ( by date released yet, and certainly not compatible with my budget for now lol)

In conclusion:
I personally find it a quality product for a mobile disco INTERESTED trs or an amateur (like moa ;-)!), Otherwise it possde effects of a major trs quality be it the brightness (in spite of the lamp 150W/15V) or the netet gobo. Finally j'me RPET but it is a good product trs on all items (well in any case in standalone mode) maybe I would eventually rticenses few compared to the control via a DMX!! To be continued ...
