Gibson adds a new SG signed by The Roots guitar player, "Captain" Kirk Douglas.
The Gibson Kirk Douglas Roots SG is announced as a versatile guitar. It is equipped with three '57 Classic humbucker pickups that can be split via the push/pull tone pots for single-coil sound. Other new feature on this guitar is a ring located around the TogPot switch, that allows for controlling the middle pickup volume.
The guitar also features a vibrola and the “Lyre” tailpiece is engraved with “Captain” nickname and two roses. You’ll also find Kirk Douglas’ signature on the back of the headstock.
