I cardioid version the MK012-01, there is also a version three capsules (omni, cardio, cardio hyper-) called MK012 at all.
The finish is not fantastic (XLR and screws not honing straight-10dB is ...), the screws between the body and the capsule ... The plastic box is not great, especially having to disassemble the capsule for storage. For a little more on the site of Oktava, we have the wooden box ...

OVERALL OPINION
I have a pair, I did test on the internal interfaces pramplis audionumriques (Edirol FA-101, Digidesign and Mbox2 Digi002).
All I can say for now is that they are hot and prcis trs. Dfine is the sound but never aggressive. I have compared to the Samson C02, which are markedly lower. I have also compared the dynamics and large caps, but I would not believe the above: compare like with like.
I recorded the acoustic guitar (excellent), cello (not bad), the flte (merveilleux!), piano (bof), clarinet (well).
I have also utiliss overhead in several batteries, and recovery amp (atmosphere) where they do a great job.
The quality-price ratio is fabulous! I Rasht a good pair, but this time I would take the version "Matched Pair 6 capsules wooden box" with suspensions, the online store Oktava.

It is now over a year and a half that I use these mics, and I did a lot with. I could compare them in studio and live recording with more expensive microphones (Neumann, AKG, Schoeps) and microphones in the same price range (Samson, Rode). I confirm that they are excelente, really, but they do not know everything and they have an unfortunate tendency to capture well the bad acoustics.
In fact, they just CHARACTERISTICS cardioid directivity their particulire, since attnuation 180 is in 30dB mdiums only 10dB in the treble and bass. Thus the off-axis sources are less strong but stamps. I understood that the very first time that I have used for registration of the orchestra is fabulous! I never thought it possible to get a silent as rsultat with microphones and less than 150 euros a MBox2!
I start thinking in srieusement buy a couple, and perhaps it will be the new version 4 capsules (omni, cardio, hypercardio, and the large capsule MK102).
