Electrostatic hand cardio / radio / studio, treated for voice nearby.
Construction: top
Reliability: Top
Design: top

OVERALL OPINION

This is a microphone designed for broadcast, broadcast quality and price.
This means that as vocal mic / radio there is no better or more expensive.

The only micro that rivals in quality and price is the Neumann kms150.
Choose between one or the other? Often, we do not choose, you take that (or those) who are "market" between the distributor and the radio or the studio, and we are very happy.
More rarely, when we choose ourselves, we take the best price or occasion.

I see it like this:
The Schoeps is more balanced with a low-register mastered better than the Neumann.
The Neumann is easier with its low cut and attenuation.
Keep in mind that this type of microphone is processed against the proximity effect and thus that the bass is very much back.
It works wonders in the studio on all receptacles nearby. Him or Neumann km85, nothing better in cardio without filter.
On a song in the studio / live ...! Brrrr! Protection against plosives and sibilance is almost complete.
I choose something else for OH, piano, and moods.

On acoustic scenes if you do not have too much conflict with the returns it is really very beautiful, there you can find more ease with the Neumann Kms150.
