Best value:
Excellent
Shure PG81 for miking drums in overhead
Very good definition on cymbals and hi-hat
but also very balanced in the midrange to capture the toms!
So, make a backup battery in the "atmosphere" is very easy: a PG52 at the entrance of the bass drum, a PG56 or SM57 on the snare and 2 in PG81 overhead and the sound is there!
OVERALL OPINION
used for 5 years
before, I had Shure 16A. They largely take the comparison!
Acquired with the briefcase of Shure drum mics.
Good quality / price ratio in this range entry / mid-range
With the proper definition and balanced mids, make a backup battery in the "atmosphere" is very easy: a PG52 at the entrance of the bass drum, a PG56 or SM57 on the snare and two PG81 overhead and in the sound is there!
I would do without hesitation that choice
