Eventide offers during one month only its UltraChannel Native channel strip plug-in for Mac and PC. But this works only with an iLok account.
The UltraChannel is now available separately as a VST, AU and AAX 32 and 64-bit plug-ins for Mac OS and Windows.
The virtual channel strip offers the following features:
- 2 compressors: O-Pressor (compression section of the Omnipressor) for extreme processing and a conventional compressor with de-essing and side-chain
- Soft-Saturation and Transformer saturation emulation to add harmonics to the low-end and “glue” elements in the mix
- FlexiPath routing for reordering the signal path via drag and drop
- Micro Pitch function from the H8000
- Stereo delays with variable feedback paths
- 5-band parametric EQ
- Gate
- Multiple presets for guitar, bass, drums, piano, strings, synths and vocals, some made by Eventide artists
The plug-in is available for free download at eventideplugins.elasticbeanstalk.com/ultrachannel.jsp until July 8th if you use the code 0F736710. Note that you need an iLok account (but not necessarily an iLok dongle, the free iLok Licence Manager for Mac and PC is enough). After July 8th, the UltraChannel will be sold $249.
