Ashdown G60R

Combo 60 watt transistors. A bowl 12 inch speaker in a closed-back "(which affects quite hard on the bass. 2 channels (clean / drive). BASS / Med / Treble on each channel. Volume for clean and Volume + Gain Drive to the channel. Reverb. No footswitch but I suppose that any switch will do

UTILIZATION

Easy to handle, light to carry. What an amp transistors. EQ effective. Do not expect miracles from the overdrive channel, which is one of the least craignos I've heard from an amp "no tubes". No manual (but not really needed. I think Ashdown has tried to produce an effect "4X12" in a combo format. The clean is very clean, with lots of bass (certainly an effect of the baffle completely closed). Gaffe do not let them eat your sound. As stated above the saturation is honest, it is far from the sound of a swarm of wasps trapped in a jar of jam. It is controlled rather well from the guitar volume. Naturally We're not in the presence of a tube amp in terms of dynamics and heat but it's still VERY nice. Just like the clean, mastered the bass, or you'll upset the bass with you..

SOUNDS

Tested yesterday in a jam with my Ibanez SZ320 rise Seymour Duncan SH2/SH4. I always keep them nice. I would not my main amp but considering the price it is for any beginner looking for a decent amp just directed "Metal Chuggah Chuggah Chuggah" (for these very serious and in time may fatuguer) . I do not know if he is still selling, but it's worth it to linger, before rushing to a Marshall or even a hybrid transistor, or supposed to emulate on a model 356 amps dream ... Here we have an amp in its simple design, in his honest and carefree side power.

OVERALL OPINION

I do not own this amp. I used to jam yesterday (I know I ramble but ...) and I have good memories. For the rest see above
