    Not gonna do it

    Crate FlexeWave 65/112Published on 12/18/11 at 15:02
Crate amplification is pretty well known for their budget friendly and cheap guitar and bass equipment. Much of their stuff is for a beginner guitarists or musician who are looking to get into the world of electric guitar playing. Many of their products are pretty cheaply built and don't really hold up to touring or heavy playing. This is not the type of amplifier that you're going to use for any given amount of time because it just doesn't sound that great either.

    SOUNDS

The flex wave amp is basically a 65 W amp with a 12 inch speaker install. It's going to feel very narrow and boxy sounding because of the single 12 and speaker . The amp basically has three channels, clean, dirty, and a saturated channel. You have a foot switch to go back and forth between the channels. You also have what's called digital signal processing or like they call it DSP. This adds effects such as delayed, modulation, and reverb to your signal. This is basically an amplifier that has an all-in-one encompassing rig. So you get your amp and your effects in a three channel amplifier all in one convenient combo.

    OVERALL OPINION

At new you can find these amplifiers for right around $300. If you looking for something for your son or daughter who is just learning how to play the guitar or wanting to learn how to play than this is not a bad investment because it doesn't cost a whole lot of money and certainly not is expensive this many other amplifiers. If you need something that's going to be everything built into one amp and not the need for external pedals or a fax spend this is a good option to have.

    UTILIZATION

The configuration is it simple? Childish, the trs rglages are intuitive, have been largely tamed bte in minutes. Gets it easy to sound good? IMMEDIATE, we feel that this amp "sounds ", and the few that are rglages will allow us to quickly find our sound. The manual is clear and sufficient? ... It is almost useless, but even when read allows to know all the features of the machine ...

    SOUNDS

Is it your style of music? Amp trs versatile, moving from a clear sound crunchy until trs sound distorted, short ventail the sound is rich trs. With what (s) guitar (s) / low (s) or effect (s) do you play? I play with a Start 'classic player 60's and a Les Paul Standard Slash Signature 2008 (hhh What kinds of sounds get and with what you rglages ("crystalline", "bold ",....)? The clean channel is nice, the legalization trs is effective and can sculpt the sound effects are a bit" LGERS ", but the application of a little rverb 'and a bit of delay provides a satisfactory trs. In overdrive, the sounds range from trs" rock fiftees "Chuck Berry with the gain 1 / 4, up to a warm overdrive (gain 2 / 3) to the pter good blues Gary Moore. High gain channel offers powerful sound , and welcome to the world of Rock! We leave the sounds that make me think of the Stooges with a Start ', and with the Les Paul, it sounds Hard Rock (ACDC, Guns n' Roses and other ) and even old school metal (Black Sabbath among others) What are the sounds you prfrez, you dtest?

    OVERALL OPINION

How long you use it? I use this amp for a week. What is the particular feature you like best and least? Trs It is versatile, the sounds are good for the trs transistor, I'd be curious to pass a blind test some aficionados of the "all lamps" ... ;-) Have you tried many other models before acqurir? I had a cube with 30 j'tais trs satisfied, but a little lightweight for scne. I thought his great ERRF buy the cube 80, but mature rflexion APRS, given as I used the clean channel amp and 2 modlisations only APRS Crate test, I I'm excited and I have no regrets. How do you report qualitprix, then it is the strong point: this amp is given in view of its potential. This rating tration 300 euros, but a thorough search on the net we found for under 200 euros, and honntement, I rarely heard an amp "all transos" which sounds like the ( forget without any concern for the Marshall MG SERIES ...) With the exprience, you do again this choice? Yes ... I would do the purchase without a shadow of a hsitation ...
