The Trigger man 60 DSP is a 60 watt guitar amplifier from Epiphone. The amp is a solid state, although it was made to emulate a tube amp, and in my opinion, it does that very well. It features two channels, drive and clean. With the drive channel, you can get a Varity of tones, from dirty crunch to rock god, all by playing with the 3 way EQ, gain and level knobs. Switch to the clean channel and you can get beautiful jazz tones, turn the volume up and send the amp into overdrive and you’ll hear an awesome bluesy/rock sound. A great thing about the Triggerman is that the channels have separate EQ’s and level knobs, which is so much better than one set of knobs, especially for channel switching in the middle of a song. The DSP is an awesome tool for getting some great effects on your guitar without any work. It features a flanger, chorus, and delay with various settings, but I still wish they put a knob on the amp to control the volume of the effects and change them to what you need. The amps built in reverb sounds amazing, unlike most amps. The back side of the amp is where the foot switch input, aux inputs and outputs, aux volume knob, DI output and volume knob, Effects send and return input/output and an input for an extension speaker.

UTILIZATION

The setup of this amp is as simpel as plug in and play, and that is all you have to do to get a great sound.

SOUNDS

The Triggerman 60 DSP suits me perfectly, i play soft mellow music, and this amp helps me get the tones i need. I use this amp with an Epiphone Sheraton II guitar, and it works great. I usualy play on the clean channel, but you can get some great rock tones out of this thing to. I love every sound on the amp, except i don't really like the flanger, but maybe that's just me.

OVERALL OPINION

I have had this amp for about a year and a half. The Triggerman 60 is an amazing amp, don’t be fooled by the inexpensive price tag, you can get serious tones out of it. Besides the amazing sound quality of the amp, my second favorite part of it would be the awesome vintage look and the fact that after been dragged around places, the finish and amp have barley been damaged. The only thing i wish it had was knobs to control the amount of effects on the DSP. For the price, you can't beat it. If you are thinking of an inexpensive way to get great guitar tones, buy this amp.
