UTILIZATION

This is a very cool amp from Fender. It is built for a guitarist that plays mainly acoustic, but wants to throw in some electric sounds every now and again. To that end, it is a great amplifier. It is lightweight, very loud, and will provide good solid tones for performance.

SOUNDS

I would give this a 9 on the acoustic sounds, but a 7 on the electric tones, so I'm splitting the difference at 8 overall. The acoustic timbres are nice, clean, and transparent, offering a good amount of headroom for live venues. Switching over to electric, this will certainly get the job done, but the tones aren't as vibrant as the acoustic side. The electric tones play off of modeling technology, and so Fender can afford to make the amp very lightweight by leaving out heavy tubes inside. This makes the amp very giggable, but the electric tone suffers by comparison, albeit only slightly.

OVERALL OPINION

Overall, this is a great product for its intended audience. The amp is a fun, versatile, and easy to carry combo that should last a long time for its owner. Check it out!
