First word: this amp is one of those which do not spare! It is inaltrable (25 years of use), versatile, compact and above all trs he spits a surprising volume for its 35Watt, covers a far RPET and gig.
100% transistor, but a dot HP12 "FENDER attack that leaves gently ds low volumes.
2 between 2 impdances diffrent, 1 gives a brilliant and is a CONTRL indpendant volume, the two gives a linear, gain and master contrlent 1 and 2 simultanment. Please note this is not a 2 channel! The footswitch is used to switch ... The reverb (!)
These 2 inputs a little complicated amplification from the Sidekick 30 simple, it is sometimes pensive on the interaction between "volume" "gain" and "master". The rest is classic bass, middle, treble, brightness, reverb. You understood, I'm a nag.
Note when even an effects loop and headphone jack (derrire)
UTILIZATION
One channel, there is no searching trs long for a nice clean sound a reasonable volume (thank you HP 12 "FENDER).
L o I love it with a Marineband and a microphone in the SHURE PROLOGUE ...
Ben what you think j'tais guitarise? Lost!
No need to look saturated, while a sound better than other amps of the era transistors is not meant to. Use a good pedals, the HP12 "will do the rest of the job.
SOUNDS
Very versatile with the help of good pedals. For example, with a Standard Telecaster I have a beautiful trs "Twang", and then for my harmonica, what happiness!
At this stage of reading, I thank mtalleux not even leaving this page.
OVERALL OPINION
25 years of service, always nickel. I changed a knob damaged by shock, easy as there are not many people who pushes the indoor chassis.
I used to unplug and store the footswitch of rverb, undoubtedly the most accessory incohrent ... And earns a few hundred grams.
And all this space to record a surprisingly powerful sound, it really dmnage a 50Watts. Although I love a good old sr Marshall Stack, I like these amps that made history ... But in the end why should I be the sidekick Spar? It is so convenient!
