Correct
What type of amplification (lamp, transistor ,...)?
transistor, a circuit emulating a tube sound (warmer)
What connection?
input jack, output jack for a tuner for example, but who also came to an mp3 player! A headphone jack and a switch FDD (simulates an amp + hot, so tube amp)
What is the power delivered?
15 watts
What are the settings, effects?
A clean channel volume knob, 1 volume knob + 1 knob gain overdrive channel, a switch clean / overdrive, 3 knobs Bass / Contour / Treble, 1 knob FX presets (reverb / delay / chorus / flanger) + knob FX level
UTILIZATION
The setup is simple?
yes, easy to use clear or overdrive channel with Gain, EQ, then add any effects. Simple and effective
The manual is clear and sufficient?
No need
Do you get a good sound easy?
The Marshall's sound. It is not neutral. It's perfect for Blues or Rock. But do not get a pure clean sound, as it always color the sound. For my part, I like the sound it provides: Hot Blues. I said that the FDD switch is always on, and I do not play only one quarter of its maximum power, the volume of the guitar down, and I have terrible grades!
SOUNDS
Will it fit your style of music?
Rock and blues (SRV, AC / DC ... quite)
What kind of sound you get and with what settings ("crystalline", "fat ",....)?
Always with the FDD circuit that provides significant +: clean sounds are warm and the distorted sounds too ... but beware, I do not shoot more than 1 / 4 volume, otherwise the sound after losing the definition of death!
With what (s) guitar (s) or effect (s) do you play?
Fender Strato and there I have a blues sound that kills. Washburn Scott Ian and I have a sound that Angus Young, and a Godin XTSA for arpeggios and accompaniments own
What are the sounds you prefer, you hate?
I do not use the FX. Possibly a little reverb but that's all. I do not push it because, given the size, but it's ugly face ca ... Within reason, it has personality and musicality.
OVERALL OPINION
For how long have you been using it?
6 months
Did you try many other models before getting this one?
Yes, all kinds of Vox DA-5 in ENGL huge
What thing do you like most/least about it?
+: Its texture, its musicality (at max 1 / 4 of its volume), and there he meets your guitar.
-: The effects that I do not because they are quite limited and not very musical, and sound with volume greater than the 1 / 4 because there is not pretty!
What is your opinion about the value for the price?
Very good, because for 90 €, to play at home or enter a beef with some friends, it has character (Blues and Rock)
Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice?
Yes, no problem. Before, I had a 15 watt Line6 SPIDER and I sold, so the sound is cold and soulless (for the Blues and Rock anyway). The Roland Micro Cube is ditto. I rather advise a VOX DA-5 to repeat to you, if you are looking for more versatility, since the effects are nice and it's a chameleon in every style guitar ...
But for blues or rock, do not hesitate, this 15-watt Marshall is a bargain!
