One of dernires professional productions of Casio.

1U rack version of the VZ-1, less complte the VZ-10M.
Synthse phase distortion, recalling in its principles and the rsultats synthse oprateurs Yamaha FM 6.
Stro - Triplette noon.
Also marketed under the brand Hohner in some European country.

UTILIZATION

Like many of the era synths numriques, ergonomics is not a strong point of the machine: it is better to edit the sounds on computer (you can use the profile VZ-10M of Soundquest Midiquest).
Manuel remarqable, except (as usual) with the description of sysex.

SOUNDS

Much like the 6 op FM synthse Yamaha regarding rsultats: technophiles amateurs fat or analog sound abstain.
If you like this type of sound, it's a good machine.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for several months. This is a "vintage" enough CHARACTERISTICS of the late '80s, before the readers of samples invade the market in the crowd of Korg M1, Roland U20 and others.

The main problem of this module is the exhaustion of the battery which prserve his memory: a dump sounds on computer, a publisher and bookseller, is essential, since it seems that the sounds of plant are not all in ROM.
