Thread Cool Edit Plays from the Zero instead of the Marker

my problem started out of nowhere.
cool edit only plays and records from the Zero (left most) position of the viewalble screen and not the Marker as i've possitioned.
does any one know what happened or how i can get to start from the Marker?
