1 How much preamp gain?
I have to record a live orchestra next week using 2 large diaphram condenser mics -> Behringer UB802 -> Fostex 8-track digital recorder. The Behringer has an adjustable preamp, and I was wondering how high i should set the gain on the preamp to get optimal sound. Any help is appreciated.

ok, will there be a rehearsal? if so you really should, goto it, and do a sound check, to get the sound level correct, that would really really help you in getting the best gain level...
