The Surfer is a stratocaster guitar with different customization options.

De Gier Guitars held a poll among their customers about what would be, in their opinion, the ultimate strat style guitar. In addition to that, the company had their on thoughts the subject, that mainly involved construction and playability. All this information was put into the development of the Surfer.

On the website you can see the first 2 prototypes, with all details highlighted. Thicker headstock, deeper recessed headstock, harder frets, hidden fretends, wider and thicker heel, advanced tremoloblock, to name a few. One of the main targets was to build a guitar that stays in tune with use of the tremolo, according to the company.

Woodworking, lacquering, assembly and setup, the Surfer is being built completely in Schiedam.

Introduction price at 1895 euro. The customer can choose the type of wood and pickups, the colour and a few custom specs.
