ESP Original M-II DX

The biggest thing that the DX brings to the table is that it has an updated neck construction. Before, you had the old school Gibson style truss rod adjustment at the headstock end. This one has a construction similar to Suhr, old Andersons, EBMM and whatnot with the wheel at the neck joint end of the guitar. The guitar features an alder body, a maple neck with a maple fretboard and improved neck joint, 24 jumbo frets, dot inlays with a name on the 12th fret, an original floyd rose, two humbuckers, one volume and a three way switch.

UTILIZATION

The guitar is seriously top notch, and it rivals many other higher end guitars out there. The frets on this were perfect in every way. The ends themselves were nice and round, and they don't slice your hand every time you move up and down the neck. The frets were also level, and I got some really nice action with them. The guitar is equipped with an original floyd rose, and that happens to be one of my favorite floyds out there on the market. It has served me time and time again, and it has never let me down.

SOUNDS

The guitar has the standard Seymour Duncan JB/59 combo going on. The JB in the bridge is a very versatile pickup that can do pretty much any genre you can think of. I put this through a cranked Marshall, and it just roared. The guitar had some serious balls, and I was busting out old school 80s licks without any issues at all. A quick roll of the volume knob also gave me a cool clean tone. The 59 in the neck is great for lead tones, and it's one of my favorite pickups in the neck. It has enough bite to cut through the mix, but it stays warm without being overly bright.

OVERALL OPINION

The newly updated neck joint on these makes them a bit more desirable than the normal ESP M-II. I tend to prefer the bolt-on models to the neck-thru models as I think they have more character to them. The guitar was top notch in nearly every way, and if you find one, get it ASAP.

UTILIZATION

The handle has a thin profile, such as Ibanez is a guitar for shred and mtal, there's no doubt. Most recent internship is reached easily boxes, soloists apprcieront.
The weight (3.7 pounds) makes a guitar or lgre or heavy and poses no problem to play long standing.
For the rest nothing wrong, the only ngatif comes from the volume knob just below the microchevalet and slecteur enough back.

SOUNDS

2 doubles with split = 6 option sounds. In bridge, the home Duncan TB4 is correct in clear plutt Splitt good but its domain is the saturation o sends really good. Note that the sound is clean and sharp in rhythm and solos, even in its saturated trs. The hot rails on Regulation prcis luidlivre sound but with enough roundness.
In split this one gives her a vaguely strat but modern in spirit.
A must for clean sounds is the central position with the split o the sound is crystal trs. While aa least a strat personals in the grain, but trs end.

OVERALL OPINION

In Providence, this guitar is a guitar for mtal and shred, even if the split opens up many possibilities in the clear. It is rsolument modern sound, look and comfort.
I think it a great choice for guitar hero in the making, or the followers of the trs prcis, limited surgery, but also in hard rock, because it sounds more scratches Fat Start the Les Paul.
For jazz and blues I think is not too much.
Assets:
- Excellent violin, trs premium
- Sounds prcis trs, high quality sounding guitar trs clean with a wide range of sounds
- The reverse head and look blue mat simple but beautiful
- Floyd The original does not move (even if it plays Steve Vai!)

Cons:
- We will not get the gibson sounds mushy (you can get close with more microphones "fat")
- The handle is too late I got (I prfre those strats and Excalibur)
- Changing pickups by the switch not the most ISSA

Go 9.5 because you still pay even close to 2500 for this wonderful

UTILIZATION

Channel trs enjoyable, though less than prcis Jackson (medium frets is not my trip, I have the glove fingers, long and thick). Access in Aiges is correct (they should have through the indoor infrieure horn) and another BMOL just the head, there is a kind of outgrowth in back of the neck (to solidify the determination of block chords) which is quite dsagrable and even sometimes painful (I know, I am a savage).
Weight is everything - fine for this kind of guitar.
Originally the guitar is a team of TB4 and a Di Marzio, trs c'tait good, but ....
As I said above, I am a savage and c'tait somewhat limited, so I changed to an active Emg kit (1 EMG 81 and SA 1) and say anything (to fawn all over you will hear nothing) is perfect for those who like Metallica, Megadeth and Co.

SOUNDS

Guitar perfect for metal, to rock gnral.
Guitar plugs into PC (via Digitech RP3).
The crystal-clear sound, it's not his thing too the Emg 81 a bit too dry, which loves him is the bottom gain (or almost), and he loves it and asks for more. The SA is trs versatile and offers everything rchigner without being asked is what a good guy! But do not look either, because when he FCHE, hurt.
The two pickups are rich in harmonic trs (what a pleasure!)

OVERALL OPINION

I bought it in 2000 Used for 375 (I know, a nerve ...) a guy who could obviously not what he had in hand, it must be said silent dirty, compltement drgle (it looked like the bow of William Tell) and strings that must date from before the invention of the guitar is a true can be scary, but After a few hours of hard work and passion I have come to the result today.
It is simple trs (black, black Emg, accoustillage black, only taken small and logo are cut with black). For me it's really dark ct guitar, I love it!
