The V profile remains fairly soft it brings a certain finesse in the feeling of the handle, the frets are also very fine, access to acute is excellent.
The pickups are powerful enough (well I think) for single coils and slecteur 3 positions replaced very easily for 5 more conventional positions.
The vibrato is effective guitar holds well the agreement.
SONORITS
This Strat is very pleasant, with finesse, pycking / her clear (contry / rock) formidable rhythmic bumps into punck / rock (micro bridge would have it) a Fender sounds good as we like!
The three microphones are perfectly quilibrs the maple key brings lots of sustain.
NOTICE GLOBAL
This is a real good Strat possdant its own character.See less00 - MGR/Dan
Fender American Vintage Stratocaster '57
Published on 03/20/02 at 15:00This guitar is so amazing, it was about $1200
It has amazing playabilty. great for blues and soloing. the guitar looks, sounds, and feels gorgeous!
Single coils are a bit noisy with distortion, but nothing too bad. Other than that it's flawless!
It's made by Fender so you know it's top quality, especially because it's made in America.
This guitar is outstanding and I would recommend it to anyone.

The tone of these guitars is fantastic. if you ever spent time with a Fender Stratocaster then you know exactly what I mean. Has a great warm bluesy tone that cleans up very well and is exceptional guitar for rock 'n roll music. This guitar sounds great and pretty much any genre of music imaginable. I will particularly like the sound of the Fender Stratocaster in the neck pick up. You getting good bluesy tone that doesn't distort very well but has a full bodied almost punching town.
Is guitar sound exceptional with a Fender amp as you would imagine because the guitars and amps are voiced with each other. So if you have a Fender amp of some sort in a nice overdrive pedal than you can get a crate solid sounding rock 'n roll pop blues, country tone. This guitar can go a long way with the Fender amp. Or you can even put it in a hiking amplifier setting and get a great rock 'n roll heavy hard rock tunnel. Guitar will not do a drop tuning very well , but something that isn't a standard tuning or even maybe a drop half step tuning will work with this guitar.
OVERALL OPINION
I highly recommend this guitar and any guitar player out there. It is a staple in rock 'n roll music and it's really a staple in music all together. At new you can find these guitars right around $1200 which is a steal of a price for this guitar. I recommend every single guitar player to own at least one fender Stratocaster in their life time with her career. It's a classic Atari classic look and it will add to your dimension is a guitar player.See less10 - iamqman

This instrument has a feel and tone that can only be a Fender Stratocaster. This is an extremely versatile guitar with the 5 way selector and three single coil operation with the tone control knobs as well. Any old amp will do with this guitar. The soul form this guitar is simply just captivating and alluring. This fine Fender guitar is so silky and smooth that is makes you amp sing like it was meant to be together. This instrument will blend and create a mix or soul with you like no other guitar can and probably ever will. There is a reason why these guitars have been copied the world over. There is a reason why so many people attempt to build and recreate their own version of these guitars.
OVERALL OPINION
These guitars have now been discontinued. You can still find them pretty easily on the used market and even some stores still have some new old stock on hand. These are cool guitars and a player's guitar for sure. They have a touch and rugged feel to them that makes them a perfect gigging guitar. I would highly recommend this guitar to anyone searching for one of the best guitars that has ever been created.See less00 - iamqman

When it comes to the sound of a Strat there really is no other. I hear guys talk about finding a Strat sounding guitar and look to Suhr and Anderson and completely bypass the sound that started it all. The sound is everyone from Jimmy to John Mayor and in between. The tone from this guitar is very good. It can get beefy with the humbuckers and lighten it up for some single coil action. This is an extremely versatile guitar with the 5 way selector and humbucking and single coil operation.
I play rock music and this guitar is great for my style. I love Charvels and will probably put this guitar down when I get one of those. I prefer humbuckers to the single coils.
OVERALL OPINION
This a guitar that I will have forever. These guitars are no longer available new. They have the same guitar but just in different colors on many retailers websites. If I ever buy another Fender Strat I will have someone take off the lacquer on the back of the neck. I would recommend this guitar to any guitar player. Everyone needs a Fender Strat in their arsenal. A great everyday guitar and a players dream. So many tonal possibilities that will accompany anything musical genre from pop to modern rock.See less00 - iamqman

UTILIZATION
The V-neck is a marvel of sweetness and feel is absolutely sensational. All types of gambling are permitted and access to acute is decent although the maple fingerboard painted "slips" a little more than a rosewood fingerboard. But the game is very easy and feel of the guitar is perfect (in fact, Alder is a wood that makes it very light).
I note nonetheless that the employee is painted in beautiful but requires great caution and great care if you want to keep it intact. But it deserves a 10/10!
It only remains to connect the famous Stratocaster '... Surprise!
SOUNDS
While the sound ... This skyscraper is tested on a 40-watt all-tube combo.
The clean sound is absolutely fabulous and it assumes a special softness of this skyscraper, the microphones are able to provide, in an intermediate position note, its a very soft and light. But when you move up the volume sounds become funky, blues and even jazz to perfection, playing with the volume of the amp and guitar and tones.
In the crunch the beast has a truly "vintage" sounds great and blues to Stevie Ray Vaughan, Hendrix, or Budy guy. The possibilities are enormous.
For heavy distortion but can use the scratch is not for the heavy metal you will understand ... His chosen field remains for me the sounds crystal clear, and the crunch much alive.
I can therefore make a note of 9 / 10 for its versatility (not hard ...) ... but against heart because it fully deserves a good 10!
OVERALL OPINION
I have been using ... 1 day, and yes, I have not yet left for a second. As you can see this guitar is for me a jewel and the Aztec Gold finish makes it unique. In the play we find the vintage characters that give the impression of playing an instrument having something unique, a strong personality and character traits that deep inside her "your" guitar, different from your neighbors!
This choice I would do again and would advise everyone to try such a model one day ...
I confess that I do not regret my exchange against my Les Paul Standard is a great guitar but between the King and Queen Gibson Fender I must admit that I have been charmed by the queen ...See less20 - Hatsubai

The neck on this guitar felt pretty awesome. It's a big neck compared to most modern Fenders out there, but I enjoyed it. The frets on this were nice, too. They were properly crowned, and there were no edges sticking out that could potentially cut your hand while moving up and down. The neck joint was nice and tight on this model, and that was a welcomed addition with so many Fenders out there with slightly sloppy neck joints. The radius wasn't my favorite thing in the world, but I usually always hate the Fender radius because it's too round.
SOUNDS
This guitar had the five way switch already installed in it. The pickups themselves are very much a classic type of sound. They had this really cool woody kind of sound going on that was real apparent when you started adding just a touch of gain. I wouldn't use these for metal or even hard rock because they're pretty low output, but it all depends on what kind of setup you like. They definitely can't do metal, though. The cleans on these were glorious, and the overdriven tones were to die for. Think of that classic SRV kind of tone at times. The five way switch is a huge upgrade, too. The in between positions are amazing for funk and cleans.
OVERALL OPINION
The guitar just oozes with mojo. However, be absolutely sure that you like the radius. That was a pretty big deal breaker for me, but considering how great the guitar sounded, I couldn't rate it down too low. Also, the guitar isn't quite as versatile as other guitars in the Fender lineup.See less00
