« Squier Standard Stratocaster »
Published on 06/26/01 at 15:00This was my first guitar and I am very pleased with it. I paid $150 in US dollars for it. (a real steal!) I believe the retail price was $200 and change but I got it on sale.
What I like about the unit is the clear clean tone and the twangy sound.
There are a few things I dislike about this unit. It does not have the rich sounds of an Ibanez or PRS. Sometimes it sounds rather dry.
The contruction is standard of any other Fender/Squier guitar. it has a maple fretboard that feels alittle weak
In summary, this is a good guitar if your just starting off. If you can afford it get a better one.
