Published on 07/12/02 at 15:00purchased at a local guitar center for 199bucks,(original price was $332.99) i got it on a special smashed prices sales weekened where they also through in an amp for free(cheap 75$ champ 15 amp). I purchased this guitar because it seemed like a bang for your buck electric guitar(my first electric, but my third guitar).
well it comes in my favoite color for a strat(3 tone sunburst)-looks awsome by the way, althought the 3 tone costs 20$ more but its well worth it. according to musicians friend it also comes in sherwood green metallic, shoreline gold, candy apple red, and black metallic finish. The coolest thing about this guitar has to be its awsome headstock!it features a late 60's big headstock which is rougly 1 1/3 size of the regular head stock.
well i haven't played to many electrics but it seems like the low e string gets out of tune once in a while. also after only about 2 weeks of playing the g-string broke, so i had to replace it. The guitar when hooked up to the amp on high starts to hum pretty loud even without me strumming it(maybe its my cheap free amp?)
the body is pretty sturdy, no dents or scratches yet. comes with a rosewood fret or maple fret.
for 199$ this is a guareenteed bang for your buck strat. comes with 3 pickups, 5 settings, adjustable volume knob, and 2 tune knobs. looks awsome especially the head stock!solid build, chrome tuners. for those that want a great quality strat but can't afford the 799$ fender model this is a perfect purchase.
