The Fender Stratocaster highway one guitar is a greatly priced American-built Fender guitar. The tone of this is an exceptional tone and can be used in any guitar amplification and setting. Whether you use a clean and with a overdrive pedal in front of it or you're using a high gain amplifier with no pedals this is a great guitar for pretty much any genre of music in any amplifier that you use. It is a great look with its red paint job body and it's white guard and maple neck. Overall it's a beautiful guitar and a price that is just amazing.

I was like listening to a Fender Stratocaster on the neck pick up because I have a great bluesy tone and gives the voicing of a Fender Stratocaster in all of its glory. It's a very versatile guitar and can be used in pretty much any style of music imaginable. The alder wood is my favorite wood in that strat body style as well as the maple neck. So overall this just a great guitar and a great price especially for my needs.

OVERALL OPINION

You can find these guitars right around $730 in the new market which is a great price for an American made guitar. It's a fun guitar and one of the best and most versatile and iconic guitar that is ever been produced. Highly recommend every guitar player looking to get one of the most versatile guitars for recording or digging. This is an awesome guitar and for the price you can't really beat that.

Otherwise I like the varnished wood revealing the (matter of taste), the headstock 70's, but I like a little less mechanical "vintage" but good. Very good finish overall.

I play mainly blues, rock, rhythm n'blue, funk, some jazz on it. Again, this is what is expected of a stratum. And I fully agree with the fact that it takes its full dimension in a good amp.
To summarize, the sound is all good! I actually redouvert the same time the intermediate positions typical strata are excellent and the neck pickup, the sound is not very hot still, not to mention the other positions.
At the store, when I left my purchase initially for a Mexican player classic, 50's or 60's, I do not Savia too, having heard beuacoup well on these models, despite their manufacturing in Mexico. So I tried two models that were not already bad it is true, then the highway, and for me, there was no photo. The sound was rounder and more incisive at the same time, warmer, more what? (And finishing as well), justifying the price difference.
So I have no pressing need to change the pickups, with other microphones in the same range, it's more a matter of taste and quality Intrinsically (in my personal opinion).

OVERALL OPINION

I am very happy with my purchase, even if it is more expensive than I had originally planned to during my intense desire to play again on Start. This guitar seems to justify its price, even if we would have expected anyway, go, fly a rigid box, rather than a cover that comes with!
Finally, it is a guitar pro, no worries.

This is the Highway 1 "upgrade" released in late 2006. The first model, although dja trs good, were not the same hunanimit Fender resellers who were not from some Mexican COMPTITE. The Fender Custom Shop has put his nose and a t relook MODEL microphones changs, namely: - a 70's head, large, and I find pluttrussie rare in brand. - New colors nitrocellulose lacquer finish. New-jumbo frets. - 3 Alnico 3 (3 magnets), with central micro polarity and winding inverss to reduce background noise in position 2 and 4. - Tone Circuit "greasebucket" for neck and bridge pickups (the micro does not have central CONTRL of Tone to keep some shine with zero-Tone.
Otherwise, the bridge was "vintage" 6 anchors with vibrato of the brand.
For my part as I could bnficier left that color with transparent wine rosewood fingerboard is smooth but not trs "flashy" (good 50 banks I will not do in the fluo either: <img class="smiley" src="/images/audiofanzine/interface/smileys/icon_lol.gif" alt="" /> )

The nitro lacquer trs end is very special: it has the advantage of leaving "sounding" the wood more easily and inconvnient of being more fragile. 2 Depuispresque ansque I have this guitar, I can say that this varnish patina beautifully with points of friction, and donnnant INTERESTED nuances and highlighting the grain of wood in a beautiful cherry color much mre ! We may not like this varnish. See you in 20 years ..... a "relic !!???
If not for the rest, the quality of manufacturing is well within the price range, nothing more, nothing less. Remember that this is the Start of US-end 849 euros.

The Fender Highway One Strat was introduced a number of years ago as a lower priced counterpart to the famed American Standard version. It features many of the same features, but the most notable difference is a thinner nitro lacquer finish that will age quicker and give your guitar a more relic'd appearance, as well as improve the tone because of the minimal coats of finish. UTILIZATION

The design of this guitar feels good overall. It feels a bit slicker and I'm sure it's a bit lighter because of the thin and slippery paint job. It might not be for everyone, and to my credit I generally prefer a gloss finish, but for those who really want the aged or "pure" thing, you can't go wrong here. This guitar is a true Strat in every other sense... I can only say so much before I start repeating the same mantra. The Highway One is well designed and feels like a Strat when you pick it up... always a good sign!

Getting a good sound out of this guitar really isn't hard... I love the tone of Strats and this one is no exception. The nitro finish does make things a little bit different, but the difference is only really noticeable if I'm looking for it. The alnico pickups in this guitar are a bit hotter than most Strat pickups, but that's not a detriment to the pure tone that the guitar should and does deliver.

SOUNDS

I've tried this guitar through various different amps, most notably Fender and Mesa Boogie, as those are my preferences when I want to hear how a guitar sounds and hear it sound GOOD. This guitar sounded better overdriven than clean to my ears, but that might have just been that particular one. That isn't to say that the clean tones were bad... I just found them to be a little bit too overbearing at times... the certain understated quality that I look for in a Strat's clean tone wasn't quite there as much with this one. I'm sure it has to do with the hotter pickups in there, which is fine, as many players are using higher gain rigs with Strats nowadays anyway. The cleans were fairly gutsy and heavy sounding, breaking up the amp's preamp quite low on the gain scale. Definitely an excellent choice for blues or certain mellow/lite rock.

The drive tones were certainly a sound to behold! To say I had fun playing Eric Johnson's "Cliffs of Dover" on this guitar was an understatement. When hit with gain, this guitar comes alive. Harmonics just bloom from everywhere and it just sounds thick and righteous overall. When hit with a dash of reverb and applied to a more British amplifier, it was perfect for 80s era Yngwie.

OVERALL OPINION

All in all I feel that the Fender Highway One is a great Strat. For the $700 or so you can find them for new, it's a sheer bargain. Fender has superseded this model with the new American Special, and though I find that guitar to be superior for an all rounder... it doesn't quite have the viscous and raunchy overdriven persona of the Highway One. Definitely worth checking out!

The neck is nice and access to acute is very easy for that kind of scratch ... Its ergonomics are not bad at all
(A bit heavy though).
With a fusion of fact and distos echoes we get a great sound (obviously the pickups are not good)

SOUNDS

It is suitable for all styles of music except metal. I'm playing right now on a pedal and a marshall AS50D Zoom and guitar
sounds rather bien.Avec some settings this strat not sound bad.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had three months and I love it! I like its shape, color and sound.
I tried an Ibanez and Mexico Standard Start ... nothing comes close to him (personal opinion)
