Published on 03/27/11 at 02:36U.S. of course. Mine is one of 2500 copies released on the 50th anniversary of Fender ...
3t sunburst body,
C handle on top, a bit wider than normal, due to the LSR nut ball (this is year 1996).
Config micro 3x Lace Sensor Gold, Beck and Clapton at the time (before obilgation for them to spend on noiseless pickups Fender).
22 frets,
Volume, tone 1 and tone 2 in 250k TBX plate perloïd.
Floating Bridge on 2 Tremsetter pivots and rear.
What all original!
UTILIZATION
This handle is on top. As bcp Strats but a tad wider, which suits me.
Ergonomics and weight are fairly standard, such as access to acute.
The sound is extraordinary. Literally: it can not find on any strat ...
The 5 positions deliver as many sounds known architects of our ears. SRV blues to funk to 1 in 4 of the 80, passing through many other universes. Saturations are far from being ridiculous in the bridge position, which is pretty rare with the single .... And all without a breath, obviously. "Too clean" some will say. For my part, I leave the buzz and keeps the vamp.
SOUNDS
See above. You can do everything, that you should necessarily!
Played on several config, the transistor with multi-effect pedal or one (drive) or direct the tube amp, it is huge and stands out instantly. Yet I try it alongside its sister Paul, Tele and Parker. It would almost be more versatile than the Parker is saying ...
OVERALL OPINION
I recently, true. I spent gst to restore it, this guitar had been stored in a universe not conducive to successful aging and above all, was no longer played.
The neck was misaligned, electronics spitting ...
But since it's happiness.
For the price I paid and given its rarity (2500 ex. Aaniversary 50th series), I'm damn happy!
