Godin Artisan ST VI
Took me a while but I finally know almost everything about this guitar! so here a resume!

It was manufactured in Quebec, but final assembly was done in New Hampshire (USA).

The body, inspired Fender is very well balanced. The neck has 22 frets in turn mounted jumbo frets notes that give very specific (and a "shhh" very brand).

The electronics has two humbuckers and a middle position hotrail, all of Godin, a 5-way switch, one tone with push-pull.

A vibrato type manufactured by Schaller Floyd Rose with fine tuners and saddle-block strings, the mechanisms are a oil bath.

The neck is maple Bird's Eyes (there are also rosewood model), it is fixed to the body by four screws. The body is made from two types of maple, a gasoline failble density for the back and a heavier wave to the table. All finishes are naturally translucent! ;)

The handle is almost flat, with a radius of 11.5'', which is very suitable for bends! =)
It is thin enough in profile but with a rounded almost constant, close to the way modern fabric Ibanez, Charvel Jackson or other. It is very comfortable overall, although in the treble is not always obvious to pass over the thumb, the academic position is a must!
Access to acute is very easy because the profile of the guitar (sort of pan cut), especially the heel is slightly retracts to facilitate the growth and movement of the hand.

The guitar when she was very well balanced, weight is average, nothing to report!

The best part?

First feature:
micro center is in fact never alone! Indeed, the position corresponds to a 5 & 2 humbuckers, 2 & 4 to the same microphone with the added central (from the classic up!) but the position is in fact the three central micro and a mixture of 2 humbuckers!

Second feature:
The push pull is not a traditional split (usually a low-pass filter), but a filter medium!
The action of the filter holder on one of the two coils of humbuckers, it has a sound close to a simple while retaining insensitivity to stray!

Both say that the electronic (signed Michael Braun) is an extreme versatility!
Overall the sounds are close to the stratosphere, but with many more opportunities, gain and phase out sounds! yum! =)

This guitar is in my opinion a great success, both in terms of violin, aesthetics or electronics! it's really hard to find something to complain about even being picky! it has nothing to envy such a Vigier, believe me, if it may be the frills of some models!
It is therefore an instrument of very high quality, sold at its output (there are about 10 years ago) "barely" a little more than 8000 francs, and found today for the derisory sum 500 € occasion ... it's almost shameful for a work of such quality! But see the bright side, if by chance you come across one in good condition on your way, Throw away your top!
