Used purchased in Paris in 2008, this is my one and only guitar that sounds myself everywhere and in all circumstances. This is a Canadian built with a floyd and a maple neck. 19 Frêtes, two doubles and one single. A volume control and a tone control (rather inefficient though).

UTILIZATION

The handle is nice weight too. Access to acute me. It sounds everywhere, on all amps, even at Roland cubes. I thought of changing the pickups on occasion but, in fact, the original pickups fully satisfy me for now. One day perhaps, but not see the need for the moment.

SOUNDS

It is quite versatile. I play progressive rock, post-rock, post hardcore. I granted C drop in recent months, with a strong enough pull, followed by a luthier. She is very well supported operation. She has pretty sharp, while having a good presence in the bass. A little too much midrange for my taste, I often turns on the equalizer, and I put together a little middle strings to be more remote microphones. I love the micro grave for a more bold, the bridge pickup for slamming. The finish is good. Be careful though with tie strap: strap on mine was taken in closing the cover and ripped the screws! Replaced by security locks illico with a screw a little thicker, more problems since. The violin and the mechanical age well.

OVERALL OPINION

I have since 2006. I played a lot of crappy guitars. Store I tested mostly Ibanez in the same price range. The seller has put me in the hands Godin and I fell in love immediately. The report quality price seems excellent.

I bought the Freeway Classic through a local distributor for $380.

I was looking for an inexpensive but quality guitar for my kid. I picked up the Freeway and noticed how solid and tightly made it felt. The finish was very fine (metal flake Burgundy). The maple neck felt well finished and slender like a strat. Then I saw on the head "Part made in Canada. Assembled in the USA". I was surprised to see a fine Canda/US made guitar at half the price of a US made Fender Strat. When I started picking around on it (unplugged), I could hear the sustain and the clarity of the notes. I told the salesman that I'd buy if for myself. The real pleasure started when I plugged it in. The Freeway can move from twangy Tele all the way to full mellow tones even with 9s. So now I have a finely made, great fitting, instrument that can deliver almost any type of music. BTW- the Freeway has two humbuckers and a single coil and came with the best gig bag I've ever seen.

After 6 months of regular playing, I haven't run into a feature that I don't like yet.

The Freeway is a double cutaway, solid body with two humbuckers, one single coil, a five way switch and tremolo. The neck is maple (mine has a rosewood fretboard). There are several colors (maple flame, metal flake burgundy, black, ...). I estimate it weighs around 8 pounds. When you pick one up you'll immediately feel that this is a substantial instrument, tight and cleanly made.

I was really pleased to be able to get a Canada/US made guitar. Buying the Freeway supports our joint economies and the local communities that host the Godin shops. However, I was even more happy to feel that my money was well spent on quality. Godin has my vote as a great designer and manufacturer. I'd buy another one just to support their company.

Saddle rosewood handle or as MODEL. vibrato bridge that takes trs good agreement.

UTILIZATION

Handle is easily enjoyable. dernire enough to come top cargo is not all stick adhesives. It is very well balance easily found a good sound by touching a little violin slecteurs.exllente

SOUNDS

A sound that is especially trs carbon microphones dvellop the mark it for the same price and it's really xllent trs more versatile metal to jazz passnat in the pop register all its posible for the top by mtal c'estpas against extreme though with a good equalizer you get there.

OVERALL OPINION

A good scratching trs trs for a price of more ba ell is extremely polylaente all having a good e trs caractte a good scratch anything.

UTILIZATION

The handle is extremely comfortable, almost like the stratum again, but we feel that it is a dense wood (maple is reported key) you'd think the marble ...
access to acute comfortable, the guitar is light as a decidedly minor stratum!
vibrato is nice, the "palm-mute" do not hurt thanks to molded bridges.

I put 8 because it is a guitar factory anyway.

SOUNDS

So there it is suitable for all styles ... I exaggerate, it is versatile enough.
the guitar sounds good and the pickups are not typed (requires versatility).

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a week.

most: the shape, weight, cavities shielded with graphite, the capacitor on the tone knob, the handle, the microphones, the cover of very good quality etc ...
the least: no split pickups, having to change the pickups if I target a particular style (and again).

Godin is strong, look at the details of a guitar of this price (580 euros approx.)

Only significant difference (but size), the model that I have is the freeway floyd, she is black (which makes it beautiful ...), and has a floyd good.

UTILIZATION

The handle is quite round, and is similar to the sleeves a little fender. But there are still more beucoup driver and rapid access to acute is rather easy.
The ergonomics of the guitar is very good, it has a standart weight and balances very well when playing standing.
The vibrato is very good (for the price that has cost me the guitar, € 550 on Thomann), it is very good agreement and can perform all that is possible with a Floyd (or so .. .)

SOUNDS

This guitar is extremely versatile, I use it with a bandit 112 (lamps coming soon ...) and it sounds really good.
Big favorite for funky rhythms and sounds that fit perfectly with the metals grain microphones.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for several months, and I advise people wishing to invest in a guitar mid-range of high quality.
This guitar is a marvel, it calls the game, but we feel his potential after several hours of play
I hesitated with an Ibanez S470, but I chose this guitar because it is less focused and better metal (Godin makes very good guitars sold too little ...).

Mine is exactly like the photo, with the standard vibrato!

UTILIZATION

The neck is quite flat and enjoyable: as wide as on a Start or Ibanez and therefore better for me. The balance is good and the guitar is pluttlgre thanks combination of wood used for the body.
The vibrato is okay: If you force too much, just dsacorde. He galeemnt dsserrer trend all the time: it is not a strong point.

SOUNDS

It should beaoucoup styles because the sound palette is rich trs.
The original pickups are very honest, even with saturation: it can play metal. Of course, for this type of music, that's not all done at the Di Marzio I use on another guitar.
All mic positions are usable. In particular, the humbuckers sound well trs simple: on super clean sounds, compresssion with the flanger for example. We raproche pretty sound stratum of these positions.

I use a Korg multi effects and a small amp Vester: I think it does not quite rvle full potential (I was even better in the store rsultats o I l 've chosen, with Fender amp)

OVERALL OPINION

I chose this guitar APRS extensive testing. I was looking for a scratch my complmentaire GIBSON RD: lighter with a classic shape and sound of strata.
One of the important lments silent as the versatility of these points, I t peak.
A little regret on the wood of the handle: APRS 2 years of use, it is a little marked in places (by the bends) and has tach (by oxidation of the strings?) Is a shame.
The report price is qulit trs good and I would do this choice even if I would have prfre blue.
