Value For Money : Excellent
Klemes has already said everything. It is a great alternative to the Stratocaster, to whom this Godin has nothing to envy.
Channel and maple fingerboard, maple body with poplar wings with a veneer on the table for aesthetic reasons (you can see the wood fibers across the trans painted cream).
Mine must be a bit older than Klemes model, it has a black pickgard which covers at the neck and middle pickups and is manufactured exclusively in Canada (not the U.S.).

UTILIZATION

Very good grip is like a strat.
I had to loosen a quarter turn the truss rod because it frisouillait slightly. The action is really low, it's a really nice guitar to play without getting tired.

The vibrato is a modern floating vibrato two anchor points. I work a bit on solo Pink Floyd bends over a ton and a half is a bit laborious, because the vibrato is raised if you pull too hard on the strings. I temporarily mounted the fourth spring comes with the guitar to make the vibrato a bit harder, it goes a little better. The problem is the same on all guitars with floating tremolo, it is not specifically linked to this guitar. I ordered one on Ebay tremsetter I redonnerai you my opinion when I have mounted.
on the other hand, mechanical support much overuse of tremolo, provided of course observe certain rules when mounting the strings, like wrap several turns around lifts.
I take a point, because for $ 30 more they could mount a series tremsetter as on some U.S. strats.

SOUNDS

The quality of the species used as well as the violin provide this guitar a great sound!
This guitar has both incredible sustain, but twangue perfectly too! There was a mix between a telecaster twang, sustain a Les Paul with a vibrato and more!
Mark Knopfler fans will be delighted with this guitar, clean sounds are a beauty!
I have a soft spot for clean tones in the neck position with the active button activated! The sound is crystal!

OVERALL OPINION

I tried the Mexican stratosphere without being really convinced before I look at this guitar. Being already the proud owner of a Godin Icon 2 Classic, and having read enough about this guitar especially on this site, so I tried and bought this guitar in stride.
Bought in Tahiti for less than strats Southwestern price, value for money is excellent ... I think it would have taken us expect a strat for equivalent quality. The only regret is that I could have maybe she décotera faster than Fender ... but hey, I have no desire to sell it!
