The Godin Velocity was introduced in 2007. The press release was dated August 20th, 2007.

Body:a Silver Leaf Maple center with Poplar wings and a gorgeous natural, solid high-flame Maple top, unique to each guitar.

Neck: Rock Maple with 22 frets.

Fretboard: Maple or Indian Rosewood with Ergocut. Radius: 12”. Nut Width: 1 11/16”. Scale: 25 1/2”.

Pickups: 2 x Godin GS-1 single coils (neck & middle), SH-5 Seymour Duncan Custom humbucker (bridge).

Controls: 5-way switch, 1 x Volume, 1 x Tone,1 x Godin High-Definition Revoicer.

Finish: Natural Flame HG, Natural Burst Flame HG & Amber Flame HG.

Includes a vintage tremolo bridge. It's a string-through body.

This was the first model that had the High Definition Revoicer. The H.D.R. revoices and augments the frequency range of each pickup and allows the player to go from passive to active pickups with the simple push of a button. The H.D.R. gives guitarists the best of both worlds.

The Velocity’s growl is powered by 2 Godin GS-1 single coil pickups as well as the beefy tone and high output of the SH-5 Duncan Custom humbucker by Seymour Duncan for serious crunch and an aggressive bite.

This descrition comes from the Godin press release.
