Custom shop Ibanez Prestige Series made in Japan by the J.CRAFT TEAM.

24 frets, HSH pickup combination with DiMarzio Breed. I installed a Sustainer FSK401 and it changed lots of things (I will never use the Breed in the neck again). 5-way toggle switch.

Incredibly smooth Ibanez Edge Pro bridge. It must be correctly adjusted to avoid any detuning but it's a real delight to use it!

VERY effective volume control that allows you to control the distortion of the amp. It saved me several times when I didn't have a footswitch.

Tone control that allows you to darken the sound to get Vai's smooth solo sound .

Very flat neck, I believe it's thinner than the 7V neck! That's why I prefer playing the 7V, it fits my hand better, but I miss the life tree inlay!! Why didn't they use that inlay?

Otherwise everything is great! ;) Great job Ibanez

UTILIZATION

As I already said, the neck feels very pleasant but it depends on the size of your hands ;)

I have very long hands so I prefer the Jem7 neck. I'm glad that the last frets aren't scalloped because that reduces the sustain on the 7V!

Perfect access to the upper frets, as usual with Ibanez ;).

Perfect weight (light limewood). Very ergonomic RG body that's very comfortable to play sitting down and standing up, it's sweet!!

Great sound :D It blows me away every time! Incredible clean sound. The neck/mid position allows ultra clean arpeggios!

Every pickup has its advantage and the distortion sound is superb!

Especially because mine has a sustainer... :D

SOUNDS

Yes, it's my life :D

OVERALL OPINION

I've been playing it for one week and I'm overjoyed!!

I love the perfect mirror finish! It looks classy and modern at the same time! I hope it still looks good after several years!! =)
