I bought this guitar second-hand from a guy who bought it second hand from a guitar store, so i've got no idea how old she actually is, my guess is about 5 years or so. I paid $700 australian for it, and considering this thing retails at 1900, i couldn't go past it. It wasn't in the best of condition when i bought it, the body and neck were in top condition though, it was just a bit neglected.

It has great tone and it's real nice to play. This was not the case when i first purchased it, but that tone was still there. After making a couple of mods to it it's now a powerful and proffesional sounding axe, a really quality instrument. For a start, i blocked of the tremlo with a piece of rosewood, which has given it sooo much more tone, i also put new pickups in it, they're korean made, and everybit the dimarzio classic, at about a quarter of the price. After a fret dress, heavier gauge strings (11-52's) and set-up it is now sounding awesome, with wonderful clean and distorted tones, as well as playing beautifuly, it's one of the fastest necks i've played in a long time.

Dislikes... well, it's not a PRS, that's about the only thing it's got going against it!!! Without the bridge blocked off it sounded the guitar sounded as if it was holding back (too much metal, not enough timber), but that was an easy fix. It's fine to tune, especially now the bridge is locked, but even with the trem open it's still ok. The pickups sucked, but still were able to make the guitar sound good, just not great

Quality is good, especially for a Jap made guitar. The wiring was good, the finish is brilliant, very durable and most importantly attractive. Nice looking woodgrain too.

This is a great guitar. As long as you know what you are doing, you can really get this baby to play like a guitar worth twice what this one is. I'm putting it through a GT6 into a marshall solid state, and the tone and variety i get is astounding. It's my one and only electric guitar, it's just a good workhorse guitar
