« Ibanez JS 100 »
Published on 01/28/04 at 15:00I bought my JS 100BK USED from a local music store, $650.00 Canadian.
Nice finish, Good Shape. Neck was decent enough.
Original set up was awful!! P/U's were pretty bad too. I don't know how they could put this guitar on the sales floor set-up & sounding like it was. Brutal!!
Pretty typical mass quantity construction. I liked the way the TRS bridge was designed. I knew it could be a real machine with some work.
I got it set up with 10's(By a professional luthier). The p/u's replaced with same model Dimarzio p/u's in the JS 1000. Custom colored, of course.
Some saddles were shimmed because they "frapped out" on the upper neck region. Neck was adjusted too.
Now it sounds and plays awesome!!
