Ibanez SCA220
Published on 01/01/03 at 15:00I bought this sweet guitar from a co-worker at my job "Subway". She Sold the guitar, a spike studded strap, and a dod supra distortion pedal for $350. That was a killer deal! I'm always looking for quality products for chep prices. She sold this to me so cheap becasue she needed money right away to pay for some medical bills!
1. Color is black pearl It looks like it has metallic sparkle in the black finish
2. The pickups sound incredible and are V6 humbuckers 1 in neck one at the bridge. They are equpied with a 5-way pickup selecting switch which gives excellent tonal flexiblity!
3.The bridge is the new short stop tailpiece. It make string changes faster than any guitar.

4. I have to have 3 per side tuning machines and the machines look like they are made of amber. Also they lock when you tighten them with a screw driver this helps them stay in tune.
5. I like how the 1/4" instument cable jack is on the outside of the guitar unlike my SG wher the jack is by the tone knobs.
6. The neck on this guitar is super fast and easy to play. This neck is possibly the smallest round neck that you can find!
7. I never liked tremolos they get in the way and in my opinion the screw up the tone. This guitar wasn't made with a tremolo so it has a better sustain and great tone!
I can't say anything I don't like about the guitar except I wish that the pickups were alnico instead of ceramic magnets but they are medium output so they wont give you the irritating feedback like most high output ceramic magnets.
The body is mahogany which give a really warm tone and is great for sustain.
The neck has a roswood fretboad and the frets are just the right size.
Tha action on this guitar is perfect for any style of playing and thats what I need is an all around instument.
Ibanez has really outdone themselves on this peice. I recomend it for any style of music because of it's tonal flexibilty in the pickup selecting! This is the perfect all arounded Go get yourself an Ibanez!!!
There is also a higher model Called the SC420 with alot of the same and better features!

Published on 06/12/02 at 15:00I bought this guitar at mothers music edmonton and love it. I payed about 730 can for it and i think it was a steal!
Tryed all other ibanez's in the store. this one caught me.( i also researched it for a while)
EVERYTHING.....its short stop bridge is great. so easy to use. the rosewood fretboard is so smooth! It stays in tune wonderfully.
That it does not have a floyd rose and its not as thin as the s prestige or high end s series. the pickups do not have all the sustain i would like but i never got it set up.....doin that soon
Exelent quality....perfect
This is a wounderfull guitar.. easy to use sounds great, light. but its all personal preferance! u decide

Lower end SC
Published on 08/10/11 at 16:54When Ibanez decided to make their PRS clone guitars, they made a few models. One of them was a super luxury model with all kinds of features and a fancy top. The other two were very similar and had more bare bones options such as dot inlays, etc. This model is one of the lower end models. It has a mahogany body with a maple bolt-on neck and a rosewood fretboard, 22 frets, dot inlays, a hard tail bridge, two humbuckers, one volume, one tone and a five way switch.
UTILIZATION
This guitar had a few problems, but they weren't anything too major. For one, the neck joint on this was a bit sloppy. Around this time, you could sometimes find that the neck joints weren't quite as tight as...…

UTILIZATION
This guitar had a few problems, but they weren't anything too major. For one, the neck joint on this was a bit sloppy. Around this time, you could sometimes find that the neck joints weren't quite as tight as later on, but it was minor and can be fixed by pinning it in place. The frets had some wear on them, although it was kinda normal considering that this guitar is getting to be a bit old now. The nut needed some lubrication, but it was cut properly. Some nut sauce or graphite would make it stay in perfect tune. The only other odd thing would be the 25.1'' scale that Ibanez decided to use with this guitar.
SOUNDS
The stock pickups in this were pretty bland. Some people like them, but I was never a fan. The bridge pickup was decent under gain, but it seemed to lack the clarity and punch that I find in higher end pickups such as DiMarzio and Seymour Duncan. It did decent cleans with the split coil sound, but that's to be expected. The neck pickup on this was pretty bland as well. It was just uninspiring. To help make it a bit warmer, I turned down the tone knob, but it just made it sound dull more than anything else.
OVERALL OPINION
While it's the lower end model, it's still a pretty decent player. If you can find one at a good price on eBay or your local music store, it could be worth considering. Just be sure to replace the pickups as the stock ones are pretty bad.

I put 8 / 10 ct for the minimalist and finishing equipment, paint effects is a little 'plastoc' but it's also a good business gots ...
UTILIZATION
The handle is a vritable highway, despite the pace a little shorter than the scratch of shredders.
It lends itself all the playing techniques, the action can be trs RULES low and does not frieze.
CHAC is good thanks to the sharp heel profile.
Lgre and trs balance, comfort is optimal.
To the sounds ... Ben is really terrible is going from blues to funk, from jazz to shred with sounds is slammin, or hot, with a surprising and sustain an impeccable precision.
Mahogany and microphones provide low trs enjoyable, and rich without being garish mdiums ... May be a small shortage of potatoes on the bridge pickup but it is the original pickups, a DiMarzio's on it and the problem is ... rgl
The purchase of this guitar does for me like a thunderbolt, and I regret that if mconnu MODEL is in France!
SOUNDS
As I play a little bit of everything, this guitar suits me perfectly versatile trs.
I plugged into an Engl Blackmore with Quadraverb loop and believe me that is! I get more sounds than satisfactory, sometimes bluffing!
The most surprising is that this guitar is capable of producing sounds a little vintage (Start and type according to Gibson pickups), but also very modern for the clean funk and metal.
Only BMOL: bridge pickup, I would replace that with a good DM Tone Zone for example, for more precision and potatoes for big sounds. But it dja lot and done it all workable.
OVERALL OPINION
Voil five years I played on this guitar, and I'm still amazed by its reliability and sound.
Purchased in 5000 francs era, I do not really regret the investment, especially trying to scratch APRS 15,000 bullets have no guts!
I d 2 rgler the time since the purchase, the handle did not move for 2 years and the strings are littralemnt glue to the handle without frisette!
Exceptional quality for a price so nice, I would do without hsiter that choice but you should know that these guitars are ... MODEL Jamis saw this in France and it seems to be a rarity since I added the product of AF
