I have seen some places reviewing this product and calling it a "Start Pack" and I am a little confused by this. I am by far not a newbie but I am not a professional either. I play in my spare time and its a hobby for me. The more I play, the more I learn but I kind of consider this an in between type.

It is one of those "badass" guitars that you see but its not overly done. The skull & bones are a good mix on the inlays and give it that feel of the "real deal". The body is bassword and feels a little light to me compared to some others I have played on but overall its got a good mix to it. I like the 3-way slotted toggle and the overall size to this, just the same it plays rather nice when you compare "budget guitars" to the really expensive ones not all of us can afford.

I bought this guitar for $450.00 on MusiciansFriend.com. I really love the guitar and I also like Metallica (Old Metallica). It was a must buy.

There are a lot of things I like about this guitar. First, I like the look, everything is BLACK! I mean everything it looks awesome! Also, I like the Floyd Rose Floating Tremolo you can perform awesome divebombs and stay in tune! The tone is awesome it sounds just like Metallica. The EMG-HZ pickups are cool too.

The only thing I don't like about it is the amount of time it takes to change the strings. Its cool though its really worth it!!!

The guitars got a Basswood Body and Neck, it has an awesome Rosewood fretboard. It is a Bolt on neck construction. With a licensed Floyd Rose.

The Bottom Line is, if you need a nice signature electric guitar and love Metallica, but don't have much cash, buy this guitar. Also, if you need new strings for it, I would prefer the DR Black Beauties, they are black coated strings and go great with the guitars stealthy look.

Has this little gem made in Korea. 24 frets, 2 EMG-HZ humbuckers 4. switch 3 positions + 3 knobs: volume and 2 tone. Bridge ESP licensed floyd rose. Handle typical ESP c - d flat and comfortable for fast and effective solos. The most excellent, the heads of dead on the sleeve, the concert is!

Corenne guitars are better quality than that produced in China or Taiwan. is well worth a Mexican Fender.

UTILIZATION

The neck is perfect, I test all types of guitar: Epiphone LP and explore, Fender Highway 1 strato ... and this is by far the most effective. Access in acute is also excellent. Its weight is heavier than Ibanez, but this is only unimportant dtail. I bought a strap wider compensated for. Push out the guitar body.

Once a branch is pure bliss. The power is to go - you.

SOUNDS

The opinion is subjective because I played on a Behringer V-Ampire boost and distortion of amliore I think the sound of the pickups (passive) in distortion.

This is the most versatile guitar I've ever played. I play mostly heavy metal and sometimes funk Oldschool.

To clean, it's a real DLIC, adding a touch of gain, a slap as much as the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 40 watt bulbs I had before. I use a lot of effects like chorus, delay, auto-wah for funk ....

For the saturated wouaw the killing, I use simulation Mesa Dual Rectifier and neck position: the sound is powerful, the big prcis Manir Metallica. The palm mute is Esquis and sustain is correct. Bridge position, the sound is a bit too serious and less prcis my taste.

The floyd is effective and is much agreement.

OVERALL OPINION

I ordered from Thomann only 545. It's worth the price quality ratio is excellent. I tried the Ibanez and Jacksons. In the end, and j'hsitait between DKMG it. I have small fingers and I found the ESP more comfortable.

Students view a limited budget I do it again because this choice without hsit is by far the best guitar in its class. ESP really good job of trs. I use it for two weeks, + / - 1 hour a day and I have not had a problem. the floyd is good even though I abused pretty well and the tuning stays in place.

I think buying the 203 KH complter to my collection.

Channel trs enjoyable one leaves the notes easily.

SOUNDS

I play mainly Metallica and I get a big fat one disto have no problem!
While the pickups are passive but even good when they tear!
With the neck pickup gives a very sharp sound and well saturated with the other two positions are obtained slecteur sounds fatter and more but less saturated lours!
In short, I m'clate MetallicA playing without problem, you still even remember that it is a MODEL of Hammett (Metallica guitarist)!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a week, what I like is the shape of the guitar neck with the head reversed, and also kills a head dead!!
I tried a jackson DKMG a 875 euros (with EMG HZ) and the sound is like that, I also tried an Epiphone Les Paul and I my sound a little better.
The report is excellent and I qualitprix remake that choice without hsitez!

The LTD KH-202 is part of the LTD's signature line for people who can't afford both the ESP KH-2 and the LTD KH-602. In reality, this is a guitar meant for beginners and not much of anything else. The guitar features a basswood body with a bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fretboard, 24 extra jumbo frets, the famous skull and cross bone inlays with a name at the last fret, a licensed floyd rose, two humbuckers, two volumes, one tone and a three way switch.

UTILIZATION

First of all, the fretwork on this model is really bad. There are sharp edges galore, and the frets aren't fully level. This creates a huge issue for anybody who wants any decent action with this guitar. The uneven frets mean that the guitar frets out on certain notes and when bending in certain areas. The floyd on this is a trashy licensed bridge made out of pot metal. It doesn't hold tune as good as a higher quality floyd does, and it doesn't flutter nearly as nice. The inlay work is a bit haggard, and the neck joint also has some issues in that there's a decent gap.

SOUNDS

Kirk Hammett's guitar is made out of alder and has a neck-thru body, so if you're expecting the sound of a KH-2, you'll be sorely disappointed. That's one thing that really bothers me about this super low level line. They use trash woods that give good quality basswood a bad name. The pickups in this thing are quite something, and I don't mean that in a good way. They're wanna-be EMGs, and they sound super thin and sterile. If you thought EMGs sounded bad, you should hear these things. It's ridiculous how bad they sound.

OVERALL OPINION

If you're looking for a KH-2 on a budget, look at the new ESP M-II NTB. If you can't afford that, you can try looking at the LTD KH-602, but it won't sound the same. I really don't recommend even checking out this model, let alone buying it. It's such a disgrace to the real ESP Standard models that I wonder why LTD even bothered making it.

UTILIZATION

Channel pleasant but still depends on the ergonomics of the player and his feelings. Broad and relatively flat profile. Easy access to acute. Guitar by his weight, but not insurmountable. Wide webbing and thick, very comfortable desired.

SOUNDS

Microphones originally not extraordinary vagueness, too runny if the volume knob is above 10. Sound "style" EMG but significantly less accurate and incisive. Ok to start but quickly and limiting draft.

Replaced by Seymour Duncan. SH1 59 in neck and TB4 JB (SH4 - Floyd) in bridge. They are more split-which further broadened the range of sounds. The potentiometers had obviously also be changed. Cost a little over 300 euros.

OVERALL OPINION

I played with for 4 years and the change of micro has a lot of good, it will never be what it is not in the background and she is almost € 1000. At that price there are other interesting models. It's like sometimes you're always in a hurry and we say that's not bad, then in retrospect we realize that it's worth waiting a bit to move to a more balanced and more correct in all respects.

I think we see the instrument as a whole and not to focus on its shortcomings, the two biggest for me are the pickups and the floyd. This guitar is chords and you can use the tremolo without falling into the trap of divebombing anyway. It is not too sensitive to temperature changes (the saddle is blocking it for something). Totally usable in repeated and intensive use but what about the long term?

She deserves a rating of about 7 / 10 average. Because for the price it gives anyway! Ideally, in addition to fall on good microphones used, so as not to break the piggy bank too, for it to give even more at her.

For now (03/08/2011) about 500 € less and see if you do not want or can not expect more, not a reckless purchase. At that price knowing it was almost a strat Mex (but not the same philosophy is true ...)

UTILIZATION

The neck is thin, flat (ibanez style a bit), very enjoyable to play!
Good ergonomics, to ACCS Acute ais and fast.
Are obtained mainly for the sounds mtal or Hard rock pretty hard, and it easily.
The strings are close to the sleeve, so handy for solos!

SOUNDS

Well with it's OK for all that is metal, hard rock type Metallica, Scorpions, etc. ...
The sound is specific on heavy, but a little cold for my taste (and yes of EMG, but mostly passive, it can be had!)
Finally, for liabilities, including sending the heavy! In clean, medium, maybe it was part of neck pickup or neck + bridge, otherwise it is a little too flashy, a little cold, the limit of "expressionless" in the bridge alone.
I play a Line 6 SpiderValve 212, that's fine, it checks out well, I get good sound, has sent!

OVERALL OPINION

I have since late 2007, c'tait my 2nd guitar. I use it today in my adjuncts Mockingbird ST.
I like it because a heavier sound than on this final, more typ mtal what (not as a signature thundering Kirk Hammett) and Lger more than one, and a sleeve over end.
My advice however may be changing the Floyd Rose is medium, and EMG 81/85 pickups by example.
However, the report qualitprix is good and I would do this choice because a good guitar "base".
