I picked up this guitar after trying every brand and type of guitar the world has to offer i had 4000 cash in my pocket at guitar center in Burbank IL. And i took home a schecter C-1+ They don't carry one solitary brand of guitar which is esp BUT they had a KH2 esp kirk hammet sig. in stock w/ emg 81's and all...
I didn't like any other guitar; Besides Thissingle guitar,so i brought it home.I Wouldnt trade it for a original black beauty, goldtop or anything i wanted this and i got it for a measly 500 bucks or so... american.

The look of it would fit into a goth band,a southern rock band or a hardcore metal band beautifully with the flamed maple transparrent black cherry finish.
The "duncan designed" hum pickups bring the best of many different musical worlds to the table with them.
the input jack is nicely placed.
the hardware is all brand name and therefore a good value for the price.
i feel comfortable playing this guitar with anyone and anyone who's planning on joining a band with 8+ years solo practice of multiple variations of style needs to have a flexible unit to bring with him for pop punk, goth or hardcore metal or whatever. And it has more nice sounds on the neck where it counts.

I bought the floor model cuz i tried the guitar off the floor, i liked the guitar off the floor and i didn't want another one so it has a couple scratches i wouldn't recommend that.
Also, the bridge pickup volume pot is scratchy nothing irrepairable though.

Set neck, I wanted neck thru but i don't see why i guess it just sounds cool. I don't miss it.The Neck is great though!
It's got the extra octave fret! i love that. The whole guitar is bound. Very professional like that.
the pickups wobble to the touch but don't make noise when you do or anything so i guess that's ok.
I'd say try it first and check the hardware for problems like the volume knob and the pickups but you can order it if the price is right i guess.


Very sweet axe, I would say it is one of the best guitars in the world but you may disagree. I mean i just think it makes me sound good so i love it but you may play differently and want a guitar that makes bad different sounds than i like.
in that case well you shouldn't go with what i like anyways no matter what but i chose this guitar from every kind of guitar in the world and chose not to have emg's installed because i loved the PU's on this guitar.

Purchased online for around $500 new. Bought this guitar after reading many good reviews of it.

The tone is great. It is versitile and can handle the different genres of music I create. The guitar is solid and for the price has excellent looks. The tuners work better than my old BC Rich. Although the pickups aren't the best, they are still better than most stock pickups.

Sound can get muddled at high volumes with distortion on. Guess that is probably due more to my amp though. Don't like the jumbo frets, they sometimes bend chords out of tune when they are not pushed lightly.

This is a solid guitar. Much better than the others I tried in this price range. The quality of the finish has lasted through quite a bit of abuse and the pots scratch occasionally.

All in all, a great buy in this price range. Would recommend it to anyone wanting to purchase a mid-range guitar with versatility.

Bought at Music Gear in Westminster, MD for 450 bucks.

Cool finish on it. Headstock is a little different from the typical fender copy everyone does. Strong hardware. Stays in tune pretty good.

There is lot I don't like about this guitar. First the pickup have NO tone what so ever. The neck pickup and bridge pickup sound exactly the same. You can't play anything with feeling. It all comes out sounding very very trebley. (I guess that's a word) The neck feels like a toy. Any gauge string set higher than 10 will warp the neck big time. Don't let some salesman tell you this guitar can be used for anything. It is a heavy metal guitar and its not even good for that kind of sound.

Body is solid. Neck is very small and doesn't feel very strong. Fingerboard is not comfortable. Electronics seem to be ok.

I wouldn't recomend this guitar unless you were going to play only metal music and nothing else. And even for metal I'd suggest an ESP or an Ibanez first.

I bought this guitar just over a year ago at Guitar Center on Xmas Eve (gift to myself...yay!) It cost me $425, and for another $75 I got a hardshell case to go with it.

It's electric blue with creme binding, and it's absolutely gorgeous. I have a penchant for blue guitars, but this one is the cat's ass. The first time I picked it up I fell in love with it. The neck is so thin and smooth, and I can run up and down it all day. The diamond neck inlays look good too. It's hefty and weighs on the shoulder to the point where you feel like you're actually holding a piece of something solid, but it's not like a Les Paul, where it'll take your shoulder off. The mahogany body resonates SOOOOO nicely. Unplugged, it rings, but plug it in and it's amazing.

The Duncan Design pickups that come stock in it (mine had HB-103s, modeled after Seymour Duncan Distortion pickups) aren't the greatest in the world. They're alright for a while but eventually I had to upgrade. I put an EMG-85 in the neck and an EMG-81 in the bridge, and the active circuit of these pickups brought this already kickass guitar to life. They cost me $175, but they were worth every penny. Not to mention the fact that they accent the guitar. They just kind of fall into place with the already stunning beauty.

It's a solid carved piece of mahogany, and it sounds great. It's HARD. I can't dent the body, no matter what I do to it. The paint job is heavy and looks great, even after the heavy abuse I put it through. It doesn't chip. The neck is maple, and absolutely impossible to screw up. I set the intonation and adjusted the neck, and it's stayed right where I put it. The Grover tuners are nice. They are quality, and don't go out of tune. Once I set my strings up and break them in, they stay tuned. The string-thru-body is cool, and since I'm a rhythm player, I don't use a trem, so it works.

Overall, I have yet to find another guitar that just falls into my hands and plays as nice as this one. I've played PRS, Gibson and the other expensive guitars, but why spend $1000+ when you can have an incredible instrument for just over $400?? I hear everyone tell me that I should get a Les Paul, but I'll put this guitar against a Paul any day, and I guarantee my C-1 will win. This guitar has pleased me to no end, and I'm buying a new one shortly, in emerald green. I'll play this guitar forever.

I bought this off of Musiciansfriend.com for 420. Best 420 dollars I ever spent.

Where to start?...... Ok. The body, for one. The finish is smooth, and in combonation with the shaped maple top, is a pleasure to run ones hand over. The paint job is superb, its sparkly and changes from dark to electric blue depending on how the light plays on it.
The neck I still cant get over. It is the exact right shape, exact right size, exact right action. And the diamond inlays are a welcome relief to those monotonous dots.
Electronics are excellent. The Duncan Designed open coil humbuckers I cant tell the difference from regular Ds. They can scream, they can growl, they can sing, soar, they can do anything you can play. There is a single tone knob,which I disliked at first, but i found that the second is just not nesesary. At one end, the treble just soars, really takes off. The other, it is mellow without losing volume or character.

There are 2 minor, minor construction issues which bother me from time to time, but after fixing them both I have not heard from either. One, I had a problem with the input jack coming unscrewed, but a quick unscrewing of the plate fixed that. Secondly, the bottom strap thingy actually came off during a show once. The only way I can think of remedying this is just to make sure its never loose. But dont let these throw you off.

Apart from the issues I described above, it is built well.

BUY ME! This baby screams this. I HIGHLY recommend this guitar to ANYONE, be it a beginner to the recording artist. It is the best guitar I have set hands on that is not made by Fender or Gibson, and can even out perform them in some situations. It plays like a guitar 4 times its price. Nuff said

i bought this guitar brand new at guitar center last year for $420. i was oringinaly going to buy an ibanez but my choice changed soon! Let me tell you, WHat a great deal for $420.

THE SOUND! THE SHAPE! THE NECK! IT ALL! Its got a thin and fast neck. the ducan desinged pick ups sound 95% just like seymour duncans. The body is mahogany for great sustain and brilliance. and adding to the sustain is a great string thru body bridge. I got mine in electric blue so the top of the body is flamed maple and it looks SWEET! The tone is crushing. The tunners are nice and big(Grover's) and not the little shitty ones you cant put ur fingers around like the ibanez's have. also this guitar is light weight and still is a soildbody. Basewood guitars are supposed to be lighter guitars right? Well my schecter feels like its a thousand pounds lighter then a basewood Ibanez. Its a lightweight with great sound. This guitar also sounds awesome de-tuned. i play in every tuning from A to Standard and the sound doesnt get muddy. plus this guitar sounds like its over a $1000. i played this guitar over a a ibanez that is $900 new and it the schecter totally blew the ibanez away. I suggest if u want a GREAT advanced guitar at a cheap price this is it! I suggest if u want a great guitar at an even greater price for rock or metal(even tho the guitar is pretty versitile) this is the one to go with.

i wish they didnt put the same pick up in the neck as they did for the bridge.

the top strap knob keeps coming loose but has never falllen off or anything. this guitar can take some pretty good damage b.c i beat the shit out of mine and mine looks aand sounds like its brand new still.

An amaszinlgy great guitar! if i had enough money to have custom guitars made, Schecter would be one of the first companys i'd turn to.

I got this guitar at guitar world and i got it for 400 bucks.


The neck on this guitar is a dream. It is nice and slim so you can just burn up and down the neck with no problem. The pickups are ducan dising or what ever but they have awsome tone and sound great with distortion. The body has a hollow part in it which gives it really nice tone.

The only thing i could even think of replacing is the neck pickup it is kind of lacking.

This guitar is a rock. It has taken beatings gig after gig and holds up. The neck stays in line and it stays in tune.


If you are a begginer looking for a step up from your squire or a experianced player looking for a guitar that can take a licking and keep on ticking then this guitar is for you.
