This Guitar Was bought for me from Bristol for Christmas as i wanted one for some time. I think it costed £179 quid just for the guitar and the old man probably talked him into giving him his wife and pet dog, but not a bad price. The guitar was bought for me because i've wanted to play for ages and this seemed to be the perfect instrument for the job.

EVERYTHING. The guitar is a beuatiful instrument. I like the fact its not another Strat clone, other guitars should be cloneing this its wonderful. It has such a wide range of tones from rock, metal, blues, jazz, to the popes voice, i love it. The single coils are emense and far better than any i've seen (compared to my freinds mexican fender strat and my other mates strat copy)and it has a humbucker which is fantastic, im gonna get it put into a les paul when i get one, becuase the sound and its white which will look great on a black guitar. I'lkl stop now before i get to exited and emotional i love this guitar, far better than guitars twice or even trice the price.

Fantastic quality, the best, comparable to any guitar on the market, i play mine in a band that plays all sorts of music and its perfect (very good at playing nickleback, hendrix, blink 182, ash, feeder and all american rejects)for what i need it for and what anybody wants a guitar for. The construction it fantasic, everythings were it should be. BUY ONE, IF YOU'VE GOT A BUDGET TO £1000 QUID BUY A COUPLE. ITS THE DOGS BOLLOCKS!!

I never hear enough about these guitars and i find it impossible to over rate. You should be shaging your mother in law to get one of these. There fucking graet, i play mine through a marshall mg and it realy is the fucking buissness, i use the marshall becouse its the best and it goes up to 11 (bit of spinal tap for you there) and its the only amp company good enough for this guitar .

I bought this guitar used, in pretty much new condition from a co-worker. When he learned I was looking for an electric guitar he told me he would sell me this pacifica for $200 (I should have talked him down a bit). I was not really interested and went to look at it just to be polite. I was surprised at first sight by what appeared to be a well constructed, decent instrument. After tuning it, playing it, banging on it and tuning it again I could see that it was well made, with tone equal to a more expensive instrument. I bought it on the spot.

Nice, varied tones for the price. Feels nice, set up nice. Stays in tune, can take abuse. For the price, this guitar can produce respectable, listenable sounds, at least for rock and blues. I get off when I play it.

Cheap. Just Adequate. Doesn't exactly cry from it's case to be picked up, played and loved. Less than perfect intonation. Other musicians may regard it as a toy.

Well constructed. Once played, the quality does seem to exceed the price.

Faced with limited funds, the pacifica is great for practice, looks cool and sounds ok. Really a great guitar for a beginner, or if playing is a hobby. There will be little or no creaming over this axe, but it is decent for the price.

This is a guitar thats worth at least twice what its sold for. Its a great guitar, and i know ill never sell it. I got it in the vintage white, and looks great. It plays like a beast! i love the humbucker pickup on the bridge, and since im in the punk scene, i dont use the 2 single coil pickups, but they sound great to me. The neck feels great, and its very light too. This is a perfect first guitar, and also a sweet second guitar. sure it doesnt have a name like fender or gibson, but hey, im the kinda guy that says "f*ck conformity" and i like being a bit original. this is the guitar to do that with.

Hmmm, what i dont like...well, there was a buzz on the open g, but i think that was a problem only with my particular unit.

Like i said, there is that problem with the g, but everything else is fine. And i think i forgot to talk about the neck. its a great, comforatble, easy to hold neck with a nice fretboard. but my recommendation, dont get the maple fretboard, get the rosewood. maple fretboards tend to stain from the oil on your fingers, and after awhile, they get all nasty. but on the rosewood, it doesnt get discolored.

BUY THIS GUITAR! you'll feel good about it.

I purchased the 112 from American Musical Supply over the internet. It was purchased as a Christmas gift for my 12 year old son. I paid approx. $175.00

The price was what attracted me to the guitar. I was looking for an inexpensive beginner guitar. I found the same guitar in local stores for twice the price.
The unit is easy to play and sounds good now that we had it repaired.
But....I will never purchase another Yamaha product for the rest of my life......their customer support is terrible! See below.

I do not like the service provided by Yamaha. There was none. They gave me the run around for almost a month!

When my son open his Christmas gift he was very excited. Unfortunately that excitement turned to disappointment very quickly.
The first night was fine. Everything worked. The next day the guitar's plug jack seemed to be shorting out. The next day it didn't work at all. If you tied a rubber band around the cord and placed the jack 1/4 of the way into the guitar...it would work great. Just don't get up or move more than a few inches.
I contacted American Music. They were great. They told me to send it back. I didn't want to go through that hassle so I attempted to contact Yamaha to find a local authorized repair shop. I called them in California several times, long distance. Each time they would put me on hold for a while. The first time that I called the gentleman gave me a repair reference number and told me that another man would get back to me with 24 - 48 hours. I waited a few days and called again. A woman answered and said that the man that handles guitars is on the phone and that he would call me back. I called back late in the day and left him a message to call.I waited a few more days and called again. I called again. I called again.
My boy had been without a working Christmas gift for weeks. So....I brought it to a local guitar guy and he fixed it in about 15 minutes........for free!
A week or so after I had it fixed I received a call from the Yamaha guy. He stated that the women should not have told me that he was going to call me back because he was going out of town on business....bla bla bla bla bla bla.... Yatta yatta yatta........
They only have one guy in charge of the entire country?!

I will never purchase another Yamaha product for as long as I live.

I bought this guitar eight and a half years ago for 250 pounds at Westside Music Centre in Taunton because it had great looks and a good all round tone.

This solid body electric Strat copy guitar is FANTASTIC. It does everyrthing from Fender-like clean sounds through to Metal. The combination of two single coils and a humbucker work well and the neck radius is small. The rosewood fretboard is very fast and the tremelo unit although not 100% is good enough and the tuning stability is great. I used to check the tuneing once a week and found it was pretty much there. Mine also has a graphite nut which is pretty damm good.

Other Pacificas i've seen look plasticy and the rosewood fingerboards are not as dark as I think they should be. Maybe I was just lucky with mine. The pickups are reasonable and, if put through the right amp (I use a Peavey Bandit 75) can sound Hank Marvinish through to Gary Mooreish. Having said that, I waould like to change them in a while.

The Pacifica is built like a tank. It is very well made and mine has survived a couple of big knocks very well. I have looked after it very well though. It will last years if you pamper it from time to time to keep it sweet.

One great guitar but be careful that you get one with a decent finish, graphite nut, good trem and decent sounding pickups. If you find such an animal (shouldn't be too hard) then you are on to a winner. All in all a great starter guitar for under 200 smackers at the moment. It was voted Best guitar under 200 quid for a couple of years running actually. I'm going to be buried with mine thats how much I love it!

Purchased 2 years ago for £180 at PMT Southend on Sea Essex England. Purchased as my first electric.

It has a bridge Humbucker and 2 single coils on a 5 way selector so you can get quite a few different sounds out of it.
The action is increadible low and smooth. I've friends who have a friend who has a Mexican srat and a les paul studio, I would love a both, however when ever I visit he always seems to end up on my Pacifica, I don't mind I get to play on stuff I can't afford. He's now going to get one as a back up for his strat.
There is plenty of cutaway to get to the uncharted territory on the higher frets and the sound does'nt break up too much when you get there. The trmolo arm works ok as well not that I often us it.
The headstock seems to go on forever which means the strings are'nt bent up there and put under extra stress.
All in all it's comfortable to play, the angles on the body make it nice to hold to. It's taken me from amatuer to much and I still really enjoy playing it. In my opinion you can't beat it for the price, it compares with strats but is almost half the price.

Sometimes I notice that the pick ups are lacking a little something, but then again for the price they're not bad.
Only haveing a master tone and volume is a bit annoying but with 3 pick ups I think 6 nobs would make things a bit crowded. However I do think that the volume nob is in a very bad position, if your playing leed or picking rythem no problems but as soon as you start going a bit heavy on the strumming you start knocking the volume up and down.

The body is of five piece construction, not too sure what wood but I know it's not expensive stuff though, I went for the natural finish. The neck is a single peice job and the fret board holds the standard 22.
All in all very sturdy even if it's not made from solid woods?

For the price you wont find a better electric, it's comparable to the stats. If you're serious about the guitar but don't have a lot of dosh, you could do a lot worse than this.
I would say 4 and a 1/2, there is'nt that option 4 is too low so it can have a 5.

The violin is very good quality for the price, it's a Yamaha Poas for nothing.
Micro side, more than the entry level, but it is quite suitable for train home
With the humbucker split or not the two + simple, we're going from clean (a little loud tone of max.) For a more Classic Rock.
I changed the neck pickup DiMarzio DP186-a Cruiser with its slightly beefier and more acute fzutrés, the guitar very well supports this upgrade.

OVERALL OPINION

No surprises.

I use it mostly for rock or arpeggio.

K'accès the treble is a facilitated.

SOUNDS

This guitar is made more for rock and blues with a Peavey amp "vipyr. on the other hand not very good (I still absolutely correct) for the songs with which we would like to sing s'acconpagné.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it now since September 2009

I is not tried other models, just opinions on the internet and video.

Very good value for CETT guitar if you are a beginner or more.

Form: This is a copy of a stratum

Neck: 22 frets, rosewood

Pickups: 2 single coil (neck and bridge) and a humbucker for the bridge.

Controls: 5 position microphone, a knob to adjust volume and a knob for tone, one can draw from it to disable one of the two humbucker pickups of the bridge.

Aesthetics: It's a great guitar, the only thing I dislike is the logo "pacifica" written on the head, too big and the font I find it a little kitsch.

UTILIZATION

The handle is not unpleasant, the rear is painted on the VCX modeled, so that the hand slips less than a handle more roots.

The saddle on the other hand is not terrible, we begin to address the bendings, special attention must be that the strings do not leave their location.

Weight and shape is nothing to say, light guitar to play early, it is well balanced to play seated.

The luthier told me that the rule that the violin is very good for a guitar "entry level" but the tremolo is not that great, same for the switch, and wiring.

SOUNDS

If you start playing in a group, you quickly realize that in the pickups are not the height, clean it sounds like a toy compared to guitars to 600 euros. I ended up replacing the pickups with three Seymour Duncan, 200 providing euro budget (micro + maker) and I have a correct sound.

I use a Boss BD-2 and it sounds great, great show, for the blues-rock.

I found a pretty versatile guitar, the humbucker can be used to play rock and heavy that the neck or bridge for the blues. I play rock type 70s pacifica and holds the road well.

I would advise those who do not yet know to what style will move to make the metal or jazz better watch other models. It is well for pop-rock, rock, blues and punk rock.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for three years. What I like most is that she is my first guitar, so I tell myself never to separate. It is easily "upgradeable" to those who have not the means to afford a guitar at 1000 euros to start, you can get a good guitar deadlines

What I like least the original pickups, but we do not necessarily realize at first I spent 2 years before the change.

I have not tried other models before buying it because I was a beginner.

With the experience I do not do it again this election because I picked up a guitar at 250 euros, because I did not know that I would become addicted to the guitar. If I knew that 3 years after I'd obsessed with playing, I would have taken a direct stratocaster mex. Otherwise, if you can not afford, or like me, you're not sure when you start to become a passionate guitarist, head over to the Pacifica.

It is a made in indonesia, standard vibrato bridge. The neck is 24 frets properly equipped in 3 pickups, a humbucker and two singles, 5 positions on the dial, a one puch pull on the tone control.

UTILIZATION

Channel pleasant, the guitar is well made, it is a copy of a stratum with a cutout for easy support of the forearm. For sound, this guitar makes a newbie to all its weapons without seeming ridiculous distance away. Qualitatively it is at the top, the pickups are a little above medium is not my favorite sound. The tone knob is a little too loose on mine. But everything else is in good order with a value for money over a Mexican Start! Right after when you type Fender USA ...

SOUNDS

I put it in a pro studio, she has undergone a lot of mod, esthetics and Micro. It happens everywhere, every way, I use a pedalboard pod xt live so I pull almost all the sounds ... Of course it is pointed in any field, but goes well everywhere in the background.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had 2 years, no worries. I like value for money, I do not like the original pickups that lack thicknesses and punch but at 200 euros ... It is a great deal!
