The DBX 266XL is a "petitquot; compressor used live or in homestudio.
obviously do not expect a compression of the order of the great and famous legend of DBX, but even that feels corny qd has been fabique by the same engineer.

Compress / Gate stereo it operates at +4 dBu (pro) or - 10 dBV input / output XLR balanced (TRS also 6.5) the same for sentree. front found all the classic components of a good compressor:
Expander / gate (threshold, ratio) Compressor (threshold, ratio, attack, release, gain)

UTILIZATION

To be sfacile use and intuitive, it is more a rule than the ear hassle of long calculation table, a small button to activate the mode that softens OverEasy compression peak (out of the Soft Knee sBerhinger except on the Dial berginher this sounds disgusting while it is very soft ...)

There is also a button to activate the bypass or the stereo pair sets the following channel 2 in the same way that channel 1 automatically. This feature is quite useful to compare two different types of compression. The attack can be set automatically using the button "auto".

Of course it has the LED displays the thresold (+/-) and gain reduction (in dB)

SOUND QUALITY

Sound more than a compressor Raisson this price (very small compared to major brand models). Very flexible and perfect sound for electronic music.

I personally used to insert on track, and indeed on a BassStation or on claps and even master console output and it has always satisfied.

OVERALL OPINION

Excellent quality price.
ideal for musicians (especially Electone)
can be less for the ings that are more demanding and will need to turn to larger models
