US Boutique manufacturer Mohog is now accepting pre-orders for its new Mo3a leveler amplifier and the 2nd version of its MoFET76 limiter.

The Mohog Mo3a is a reproduction of the La3a optical leveler amplifier, and the difference between the two modules is that on this clone, the controls that were located at the back of the unit have been moved to the front panel. Both channels can be linked for stereo operation.

Specifications:

  • Rackable 2 channel leveler amplifier
  • Channel Link for stereo operation
  • Custom Altran transformer balanced input
  • Custom Edcor transformer balanced output

The Mo3a will be available for $1899 but if your pre-order it now, you get a $200 discount off the final price.

Mohog also introduces the second version of its MoFET76 limiter amplifier, the two-channel version of the original processor. The manufacturer says that in order to keep a competitive price, some choices had to be made, so you won’t find on this version the Carnhill transformer ; the input attenuator was replaced by a pot and the channel summing was changed from voltage controlled to side-chain.

Specifications:

  • Custom Altran transformer balanced input
  • Custom Edcor transformer balanced output
